SOLVED. Medieval Romance - Raised in a monastery [s]

I'm trying to find the first romance novel I ever read. I picked it up in a Target around 2000 or 2001. Paperback, probably came out that year, but I'm not sure which month or which publisher.

Medieval romance. The girl had been abandoned to and raised by a group of monks near a village way out in the middle of nowhere. This order had strict rules about physical contact, so she grew up without much physical affection, and very sheltered though the monks did teach her to read, etc.

Guy was a knight or something out looking for... I don't remember, a lost heir or something. He had to stop by the monk's place for some reason, and the girl had to pretend she was a villager, since if anyone found out she was there, the monks would be in trouble and she would have to leave. She was very sheltered and scared of having to live in the world.

Barn sex happens. While I don't think she was the heir or whatever he had been looking for, she was someone with enough rank for the knight to marry.

If I recall correctly, she was abandoned as a baby. I don't remember why.

DEFINITELY a monastery.

And no, there wasn't much information on her actual family. Just the monks that had raised her.
