"I don't want to leave you sissy." He whispered. The snow started to come down harder.
Jacob looked at Alec. "He's too young to understand." It was blizzard in the summer. "If she doesn't back away from him. I will put her in isolation. It's too much of a risk."
Aaliyah squeezed her brother gently. Tears came down her face rather quickly. "I know, but you need to go inside before you get a cold." she whispered using light compulsion. "I love you James." James pulled away and walked back inside like his sister said. "I saw them die. Their blood covered the snow, Alec."

He had ignored Jacob's warning, sensing that Aaliyah would be able to get her brother to go inside, and she had. He walked over to her and put an arm around her, encouraging her to lean into them. "I know. I believe you."
Alec was quiet for a moment before returning his attention to Jacob and casting sidelong glances at her parents. "Can we go inside somewhere and can someone please explain to Aaliyah what happened." His voice came out weary and tired and not frustrated as he had expected.

Aaliyah leaned into Alec. She started to calm down to a point where it was a light snow fall. "Can we get some food." she whispered not wanting to talk about it. Even though the cold didn't affect her as much as it would her brother, she still started to shiver. "Did someone mess with my mind?" It felt like they had this conversation before, but she didn't remember.

"Of course we can," Alec murmured in response, wrapping an arm around Aaliyah's shoulder. He was glad that the weather had calmed down but he was still cold. He led her slowly into the cabin so that they could get food. He hadn't noticed that he was hungry too until his stomach started to growl. "I don't know," he said in response to her question. "It's possible."
He gently wrapped his fingers around her shoulder as she backed into him, trying to remind her that he was there and she would be alright. He looked up at the sky and repressed a sigh as it began to snow. "Aaliyah," he said quietly. "The weather. I need you to focus and try to stop."
Snow was safe enough but if her emotions got too out of control a light snowfall could become a blizzard. As she ran out of his grip and towards her brother Alec was only concerned for her - he knew she was lucid enough not to hurt her brother.
"She's not going to hurt him," Alec snapped at Jacob, finally addressing him. "Did you warn him?" he asked angrily, referring to James. "Did you warn him that his parents were alive and don't remember him in the slightest?"
