Once Upon A Time and Jasmine

She walked down to a nice spot. She sat down crying. She liked him but she didnt want to hurt him at all. Soon she was finding herself walking back to see if he was still there. She saw him. She wanted him. She took a shaky breath. She saw him
Maybe she could reverse it. She didnt want to hurt him. She kept thinking that she would hurt him and make him hater her. 'Alec." She said and took his mind. "Please remember,"she whispered She backed away crying.

After another shake of his head Alec turned and began to walk, but he stopped at the sight of Aaliyah. The corners of his lips turned down into a frown at the sight of her, and his eyebrows pulled together as though he were thinking very hard - she looked vaguely familiar, but Alec just couldn't place where he had seen her before.
He opened his mouth to speak but stopped as Aaliyah took hold of his mind. For a moment his thoughts were too much, and it seemed like all he could see were a blur of colors. There were snippets of old forgotten memories; memories in which that girl who stood before him was smiling and happy, and others where she was crying. When it was all over he looked up at her, a shocked look on his face.
"Aaliyah," he said softly, almost moaning the name as he ran towards her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, burying his face in her hair, "Don't ever do that again."

She was trembling. "I'm sorry." She said. "I don't know how to do anything." She was hurt. "I didn't want to get attached and I thought I push you away then it would work." She looked down trying to take in him. "Please don't leave." She paused. "I can't do anything right everything is coming down. I failed my brother and parents." She was over come by the gas and she needed to rest.
Her eyes started drooping. "I'm sorry i don't know anything." She was confused and tired. Her body needed to rest. Her mind needed to. She needed to let go and relaxed. She was so caught up in taking care of her brother she never did anything for herself. "Please forgive me."

"Stop shaking Aaliyah," Alec said quietly, "It's okay, I promise it's okay." He pulled her close again, pressing her tight against him. It was an odd feeling he thought, caring for someone as much as he seemed to care for Aaliyah. He had thought that after the change he would never be able to feel like this again. He didn't think that perfects were capable of truly caring for someone. Then again, he wasn't a true perfect.
"You know enough," Alec murmured, looking down at her. He picked her up into his arms and carried her, and he began walking home. She was much too tired and she needed to rest, but he had a feeling she wouldn't rest even if he asked her too. Alec sighed, feeling bad about what he was going to do, and closed his eyes. He could feel the source of Aaliyah's powers and he tapped into it.
"You're tired Aaliyah," he said in a soothing voice. Although his voice was soothing there was a bit of a commanding air to it. "You need to sleep."

She couldn't stop shaking. She was scared out of her mind. She didn't want anything else to far apart. "It's ruined my life is ruined.' She whispered. "I'm falling for someone that I was taught to fear my whole life. I gave up fighting. I should still be fighting but I can't because I'm a perfect." She said.
She didn't want anything else to go wrong like this. She was scared out of her mind. "Let me down." She said. "I can walk myself." She didn't say anything else. She snuggled into him. "Please let me down. I much capable of walking myself." She did like the feeling of being close to him and she liked it. She didn't stop fighting. "Please let me down."
Her eyes widen at what he was doing. She came tired. She wanted to fight it but she was to weak to fight. Her eyes closed and she was asleep as a smile came on her face.

Alec shook his head and held her, watching as a smile came onto her face when she fell asleep. He bit his lip as he walked, trying to push down the pain that he was suddenly feeling. It made no sense to be upset by the way that Aaliyah felt - it was natural and it was to be expected. After all. she was far more human than she was perfect.
He opened the door to his apartment for what seemed like the millionth time. He quietly closed the door so as not to wake her and lied her down on the couch. He sunk into a nearby chair and put his head in his hands, squeezing his eyes shut and trying not to think.

She was happy now. She snuggled into him. She was dead alseep. She was having sweet dreams. "Don't leave me please." She begged in her sleep. She was having a dream about them. She loved being close to him.
She felt herself being set down. "Please hold me." She whispered in her sleep. She felt the warmth leave her and she like it. She didn't want nothing to go wrong. SHe felt like it was perfect right now.

Alec didn't pay too much attention to her mumbles; he was thinking of far too many things as it was. There was the question of what to do with her and how to get her to fully trust him. There was also the question of where they were going to go. It would be hard enough to leave the city without raising any suspicions from the government; the bigger problem was that they had nowhere to go. Even if there were human civilizations like she had said, neither of them knew where to look.
He looked over at her when she whispered for him to hold her, a bewildered expression on his face. He wasn't sure if she'd be happy to wake up in his arms or if she'd explode and start crying again. Not wanting to take the risk, Alec decided to stay in his seat. He would watch her until she woke up, and from there they could figure out what to do.

She waited for him to come and hold her and tell her things will become better but nothing happened. She knew he was to good to be true. She liked him a lot and wanted to be in the warmth of her arms. She held the tears in but it didn't last long as she started to have nightmares when her parents were killed. She hadfd tears coming down her face as the nightmare kept replaying.
She couldn't describe the nightmare because she saw bits and pecies. It was like she couldn't remember the whole thing. Pictures faded in out of her head. she wanted to be in one place right now but she wasn't in that place. The last words of her parents never trust a perfect. She knew she could trust him but she was afraid of getting hurt. Does that mean she couldn't trust herself?
She had an idea. She snuck into his head while she was sleeping taking his mind making him to come hold her. She only made sure it would work if he liked her enough to come and hold her. If he didn't like her she would turn herself in.

Instantly Alec was sitting beside her and putting her arms gently around her, moving her up into a sitting position. "Aaliyah," he murmured, shaking her gently. "Aaliyah, please wake up. Don't cry." He pulled her close to him and leaned back against the couch, hoping she would wake up and stop crying. He couldn't handle tears.
This is a real fine mess you've gotten yourself into, he thought to himself as he looked down at her. There was something about her that Alec couldn't quite place. There was something different and wonderful that he just couldn't walk away from.

She stared there letting the tears coming down her face. "Alec I'm scared." She couldn't fall back to sleep the nightmares that haunted her started again. She didn't want to close her eyes and see the imanges go through her mind.
She wanted to trust him her gut trusted him she was confused, "Alec I want trust you but I was taught never to trust a perfect and that means I can't trust myself either." She whispered. "I never needed anyone, but I want you to stay with me I like you a lot." SHe said.

"I know it's hard for you to trust me right now. I know that everything within you is probably telling you not to, and that's okay. It makes complete sense. But know this, you're still the same girl that you were before you were changed. Nothing has changed aside from the fact that now you're able to manifest powers you didn't even know you were capable of. Other than that, you're still the same girl you used to be."
Alec paused, unsure if what he was saying would help her at all or not. "I'm sorry for doing this to you, I really am. But know that right now I really am trying to help you. I am."

"I don't feel the same." She looked at up at him and blushed a little bit. "Alec do you like me like me or are you going to hurt me in the end?" She whispered. She looked back forward. "You mean chaning me into a perfect."

He couldn't help but blush at her second question and he looked away for a moment, caught off guard by her words. "Uh, I do like you Aaliyah," Alec said a bit nervously, running a hand through his hair before looking back down at her. "Yes, I mean changing you into a perfect. None of this would have happened if I hadn't changed you."

"I wouldn't have meant you I would be dead without someone." She whispered;

"I don't know why I feel like a human and not a perfect," he said simply, now avoiding looking her in the eye. He wasn't lying, but he didn't feel comfortable saying these things aloud to anyone. Who knew when the government was listening? "I hide my powers from the government because if I have to. If they found out then any number of things would happen to me. They could keep me and run tests on me. No doubt they'd find out that I don't actually think like a perfect. It could lead to them finding a way to figure out which people will be good perfects and which won't once they're changed - that leads to more deaths for the ones like us. They could decide to keep me and have me use my powers for the government. Well, that wouldn't last long because there's no way I'd do that. In the end, I'm out. I'm locked away somewhere or killed. They wouldn't just let me go."
Alec suddenly looked back down at her, his piercing grey eyes staring straight into hers. "And you need to understand that if they find out about your powers, they won't let you go."

She was thinking through ways to get over him. She didn't know why she thought he was different. She pushed him away slowl. He really hurt her. "I should be going." She said. She got up and ran out the door she knew what she was going to do. She was going to turn herself in to the government. She walked slowly in a alleu way so Alec wouldn't see her.
She had to save her brother. She would turn herself in to do it. She was going to let her brother be a perfect she would help the government to save her brother. She would even turn Alec in. She had to save her brother. She wasn't thinking straight she had to listen to the government. She had to save her brother. She was slumped to the ground She just want Alec to kiss her and all he did was talk about that she had to keep jer powers a secret.

Alec immediately stood up and walked out the door, but he quickly realized that he had no idea where she could have gone. "Aaliyah," he called out, shoving his hands into his pockets and walking down the street. "Aaliyah, please come back." The tone in his voice was almost pleading and there was a desperate look in his eyes. He couldn't understand what would have driven her to run out of his apartment.
He bit his lower lip as he walked, calling out her name a few more times in the hopes that he would get a response. If she really did like him, then why would she keep running from him like this? Maybe she had realized that he wasn't as great as she had originally thought. Alec sighed and ran a hand through his messy brown hair, unable to make sense of the situation. He had just told her everything that he had never trusted himself to tell anyone else, and she had run off. He got a sinking feeling in his stomach and it took all his willpower not to sink to the ground right there - what if she was going to spill his secrets to the government? How stupid he had been to trust her as he did.

When she used her powers she became more perfcet then she was when she didn't. She became addict it to it. she bit her lip as she felt the power take over her. She was going to expose herself and someone needed to stop her. She wasn't thinking straight at the moment. She walked out of the ally way and saw Alec the wind started to blow hard. HEr hair flew in the wind. "Go away I wanted you to kiss me and you didn't you didn't and that hurt." She started mumble and go on and on.
"I just wanted one kiss cause I like you and you didn't." She looked up at him with big eyes tears running down her face. She looked vurlnabv\le right now.

Alec groaned as the winds picked up, and looking ahead he saw as Aaliyah walked out of the alley. It was clear that she was losing herself to her powers, and despite the anger she was clearly projecting at him, he was worried for her safety. "Aaliyah, you need to stop," he said softly. "You're going to get yourself in trouble."
His grey eyes widened at her words and he stared at her, the look on his face unreadable. It was unclear whether he was in shock or simply did not understand what she was saying - in reality, it was a little bit of both. He hadn't even realized that she had wanted him to kiss her. "A-aliyah, I'm sorry," Alec said, struggling to gain his composure. "I-I didn't realize. It's not that I don't want to...Aaliyah, I told you that I like you, didn't I?"

She ran to where the human was. She looked at the little girl. She smiled some. "Your going to come with me" She said in a commanding voice. The little girl came as commanded. The storm grew worse as she let the power take over. She needed to be stopped.
Her mind wasn't in the right place. "God girl." She smiled wickedly. .

He quickly followed her, staying right on her trail as she ran towards the human. Alec knew that there was no way this could end well unless he managed to bring her back down to herself. He watched the little girl obediently follow, and was shocked as the storm grew worse. He feared that he may already be too late.
Alec grabbed Aaliyah's wrist and turned her to face him. "You need to stop," he commanded, his tone no longer pleading. It was now dark and serious, and his grey eyes pierced hers. He gave her no time to respond, pulling her in and kissing her instead. He could only hope that this would be enough to break her for just a moment. Just a moment was all he needed to get her thinking straight again.

She felt the little girls mind in hers. She liked having the power. "Human."She hissed through her teeth. Her knees stopped trembling. Her smiled was cold the same expression was on her face but this time she didn't walk away. It was like she was fighting herself to stay near Alec and she was doing her best to do.
"I want you to..."Her voice fell she wanted the human to get away from her. "get away from me."She said and the girl ran off. She was shaking as it took a lot of control to even get herself to do something like that. "Help."She whispered.

He watched as she struggled, wishing that there was some way that he could help her. He had helped others before, but none of them had been taken over by their powers as much as she was. It was odd to him. Aaliyah was a strong person, and he found it strange that she wasn't able to have much hold over the powers that she possessed.
He was surprised when she told the human girl to run away, and immediately knew that he had to get her out of there. Almost immediately after she said the words, Alec had picked her up and began running in the other direction. "That was really good Aaliyah," he said softly, smiling at her in the hopes that she would feel slightly better. "I'm very proud of you."

Her powers started to come back and the tempertatures slowly dropped. It started to snow some. She didn't feel the minds of humans but all the perfects around her. She wasn't sure what to do. She took a deep breath but the minds grew in her head. All she could think about was how to control someone. She looked up and smiled coldly. The wind picked up and howled.
"Let me down." She commaned to Alec. She took his mind easily. She didn't have his mind all the way though. She didn't like being in control yet.

When Aaliyah told him to let her down he could feel that she had control, but was also aware that she didn't have full control of him. He put her down, his lips curving down into a smile as he did so. Alec wanted to tell her something, but found it hard to do so with her controlling even part of his mind. He resolved to wait until she was done, holding back a sigh that he probably wouldn't have been able to release anyway.

Her heart race she ran back to Alec. "They found me I didn't mean to the power was taking over me and I couldn't help." She said. She hold on to him. "Alec what are we going to do." She whispered scared. They didn't really find her. It was all in her head. Her power was over powering her. She was using too much all at once.

At the sound of sirens Alec could feel his power return and he knew that something must have snapped Aaliyah out of the power hungry rampant she had started. He could see her running back to him and his heart sank, already anticipating what she was going to say. The worst part was he didn't know if this was really happening, or if it was all in her head. He too had thought the very same thing the first time his powers gained too much control over him.
"We're going back to my house," Alec said firmly, quickly picking her up before she could object. He walked at a brisk pace, trying to keep the expression on his face free from the worry that was gnawing away at him.

She was weak from using too much power. She looked up at him. "Would you give up everything for me?" She asked.

He shook his head as she spoke, signaling for her to stop. "Don't worry about it. It's really hard at first having powers that you're not supposed to. It'll get easier, trust me." This time he couldn't repress his sigh, and he opened the door to his house before answering her question. "Yes, we need to get out very soon," Alec said grimly, closing the door swiftly behind them.
Alec laid her down on his couch, his brows furrowing in confusion as she spoke. "I already have," he said simply.

There was a thousand things that she wanted to ask right now. She really wanted to snuggled into him and be normal again. "Alec when will I get tested?" She whispered. She looked at him then she jumped a little bit. It was the government calling to see how she was doing and wanted to talk Alec. Aaliyah looked up at him nervous. She didn't want to get caught she was nervous.

Alec opened his eyes and looked down at her, this time unable to mask the worry and concern in his grey eyes. "I don't know," he said honestly, wishing that he could give her an answer. His body tensed when he heard the phone ring, and he knew who it was without thinking.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," Alec murmured, although he was trying to convince himself more than her. He pushed himself up and off of the couch before slowly walking towards the phone. He took a deep breath before composing himself and picking up the phone.
"Hello?"

Aaliyah looked up at Alec. She looked scared. Her heart started to pound quickly. She was caught she knew she was. She was going to be a puppet.

His eyes flickered to Aaliyah as he spoke, assessing the fear in her eyes. He was determined to make sure that nothing bad happened to her.

Her eyes widen some. She didn't want to go. "That's good is she experiencing anything from her past life." He said. "If so we will have to redo her or do some testing." They told Alex. They already knew who the perfect was and what was going on.

"Nothing at all from her past life. I'll tell you something, while it may have been a pain in the butt dragging her to the labs, she sure was easy to wipe." Alec chuckled, as if he found the whole situation amusing. "She doesn't seem to remember a thing. For someone who was such a fighter, I'm a bit disappointed at how easily she fell," he said, almost sneering the last sentence. He hoped that the person on the other end would but into his mocking tone.

Aaliyah felt a new perfect and a new mind come into hers. She wanted to control who ever was at the door. She looked at Alec. She wanted to control things that's what she wanted to do.

"Aaliyah," he said gravely, "If you use your powers right now, can you control yourself?"

"More what?" he asked, his voice void of any emotion.
It was strange, he realized, being controlled by someone. The odd part was that he was aware of being controlled, making it all the more worse and making him feel unbelievably helpless.

She looked at Alec. "I need more Alec I need more." She whispered. "More power please Alec." Her heart was pounding quickly and faster and faster. She didn't mean to do any of this. "I'm a power hungry monster."

Without any warning he got up off the floor and kissed Aaliyah, tangling his fingers in her hair. The kiss wasn't soft and gentle like the ones he had given her before. This one was rougher and filled with desperation, yet it still had that sense of longing that each kiss before had.
"I don't know how to give you more," Alec said, his lips brushing against hers as he spoke. He was still breathing heavily, this time left breathless from the kiss. "Aaliyah, I can't give you more. I'm sorry.'

"Alex I'm going crazy I don't know what to do everything is wrong. I want more power and...... " She collapsed on the floor. She started to cry. "I'm broken I'm a monster." She whispered over and over again.

"The power that you have is all that you have. There's no way to get anymore," he said quietly. "You can control people. You love the feeling of control, but I'm sorry to tell you that I can't give you any more."
Alec watched her fall to the floor and cry, and it hurt him to see her like this. He had no idea how to help her. "You're not a monster," he said, kneeling down next to her. "Don't say that."
He watched her curiously, his expression changing to shock as he felt her taking his mind. He tried to protest but there was nothing he could do; he couldn't fight her powers. Alec gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut. "Aaliyah," he choked out, doing his best not to succumb to her, "please."
His final plea was the last thing he choked out before being washed over by her powers. He looked confused at her request but nodded, "Forget about you," he repeated. Deep in the back of his mind he was screaming to wake back up and fight against her. For a moment he broke, and Alec raised a hand and brushed a tear from her face. "I don't want to," he said softly, his eyes full of anguish. It lasted only a moment and then he was back under.
By the time she had run away he was back to normal. There was a nagging feeling that he was forgetting something, but he just couldn't place it.
