I read this book in the mid-early 2000's. It was probably something like 2003-2006. I have no idea when it was published but probably mid to late 1900's? I read it in elementary school but was in GT so the audience was probably middle grade or young adult. It was a science fiction-y book about a girl who goes to a new planet as something has happened to Earth. I think it is written like a diary but is, at the very least, first person. I believe the title has the word "green" in it, but I could be wrong. It was a very short novel, and I have fond memories of it, if anyone has any idea what this is!! Thanks!

Ah!! Sorry! Was looking through the unsolved book thread and stumbled upon it in a suggestion. The book was The Green Book for anyone wondering! Glad I finally found it after years of searching!
