Web hosting?

Wasn't there a topic about web hosting? I've been looking for a while and haven't found it. I see a lot of authors use Bluehost. What works well for a low-cost but adequate option? I started a free wix site a couple of years ago, revamped it a couple months ago, and have been using that. It's very easy to use, and provides what I need for now. But even after putting in the SEO keywords, none of its pages come up on the various google searches I try. (I've looked through the first 3 results pages.) Google gets the Amazon and Goodreads pages, and a yahoo site I created a few years ago for my publishing company but never fully developed because I wasn't that thrilled with yahoo. I tried a WordPress page a couple weeks ago, found it very unintuitive, and didn't finish it. Thank you for any suggestions!

Maybe you saw one of my blog posts that I shared?? (please say yes and give me a big head that my posts are actually useful).

I use SiteGround as my hosting company. One of the reasons that I like them and so do almost a thousand others is that they have excellent customer service 247,365. You can have your cpanel transferred to them in less than an hour (mine was transferred in just over 30 minutes) and most importantly, they do regular cpanel backup and give you free access to the backups.

Segilola is correct, lots of great support here. I used Wix and Weebly but after discovering Bluehost and Wordpress there is no way I will ever go back to those expensive sites. I feel embarassed when i think about what I was paying compared to what I was actually receiving. Wordpress has a heck of a learning curve and don't let anyone tell you it's out of the oven easy but it is so superior as far as being able to tailor it to your own vision and it is versatile times 1000. I can't tell you what host to use but I can share my experience with you. As Segilola says your host should have solid 24/7 support - that is by far the most important thing. I like bluehost because for $80/year I have unlimited hosting with unlimited email accounts on an unlimited amount of sites. Most of their domains are usually on sale for around $8 so not bad.They have helped me out in a jam on countless occasions and I love not hosting with wordpress itself which has no real support and actually charges you to protect your own physical mailing address. I just finished my first WP site and am far FAR from an expert...but I am natually patient and am new enough to identify with your struggles and provide suggestions and info. It takes time and demand on the web, P.J., before SEO words bring your site a lot higher on google search results. That's why, I think, they have these click farms to accelerate the process.
As Amazon too became so 'crowded', with many SEO words a book may still end somewhere very low among few dozen or hundred pages of search results .,

Yesterday, I ran across a new domain. It's all arts. It's new and coming out in the next few months. To have your own site cost money. That's the only negative. If anybody is interested, take a look: art.art
