The Young Elites fits almost perfectly to your description:)You might also enjoy A Court of Thorns and Roses series By Sarah J Maas.
Read the Shatter Me series! SOOOOOO goood! its by Tahereh Mafi! Graceling by Kristin Cashore is really good too!
Definitely agree with Thrones of Glass and Shatter Me series...also the Covenant Series by Jennifer Armentrout!
I wanted to add The Darkest Minds Trilogy...the h (Ruby)has some pretty amazing powers...great trilogy!

I love YA and Urban fantasy and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a few books where the heroine has hidden powers that are important to the storyline. I also wouldn't mind if there was also a guy or two who were protective of her but she doesn't really need them cause she becomes a badass character herself. I know that's a lot but if you know of any, please let me know!
