Hi!
I read this book last year I think. The heroine had been kidnapped for either a couple months or a couple of years. When she is rescued and returned to her family she is withdrawn. Her boyfriend has moved and has another girlfriend. But he loved her, he really did. He struggled with grief, he told her. I think he was even tearing about when he was talking to her about it.
She is upset that he moved on.
The hero is a close friend of the family and I think he is also a police officer. He likes her but he also knows she isnt ready for a relationship. He sticks around though helping her heal. I also remember that they had appointed police officers to stay close to her house because the feared her abductor would strike again.

**THINGS IM REALLY NOT SURE ABOUT**
-the blurb included something like she was forgotten by her town...? Because she had been gone for so long.....idk, it may have been another book.
