Pixel | 5 comments Hi everybody,

I've been searching for a while now for a specific book and I'm hoping someone here will know. I don't remember much about it except the beginning the heroine was unwillingly experimented on, she basically got a whole (cybernetic?)body system upgrade better hearing/sight/healing (to the point that it treated older age as a sickness and giving her a prolonged life)/strength/endurance/etc. Oh and she thought like an ai if that makes any sense. If this sounds like anything you've read please let me know!

Oh and suggestions are always welcome. Thank you.

But if you *do* find out, let me know. It sounds bloody good. :)

I didn't care for the first one so I didn't continue, but Joel Shepard has a series about a cyborg assassin named Cassandra Kresnov. Crossover is the first one.

Kage Baker's series about The Company features a pretty kick-ass female cyborg character. The first one is In the Garden of Iden. I started with the second book Sky Coyote, then went back.

Pixel | 5 comments Hi, thanks for the suggestions I will definitely check them out, they seem very interesting. Especially the one with the cyborg heroine I love reading how different they are from the human heroines and often they experience a lot more growth than their human counterparts. Well and there is the fact that they're pretty much indestructible and kick ass :)

Sadly none of them was the book I was looking for, if I'm not mistaken it was written after 2000.

Sarah | 21 comments I can think of two that might fit that category but not sure if either of them are the one you are looking for. One is "Hammered" by Elizabeth Bear which I am currently in the middle of (thought about your question as I got more into the book). The other is a series by Kristine Smith - first book is called "Code of Conduct" although I can't remember if the character had any special ability or not. Good luck with your search.

Brandon | 2 comments Could be "Ancillary Justice (Imperial Radch Book 1)" or "Steel Beneath the Skin (Aneka Jansen, #1)"

Brandon | 2 comments If not there are a few lists in listopia with female cyborg or female android as the topic you could look through
