Keyser Soze (truman19) I'm out of books. What should I read? Will be purchasing a new read in 4 hrs time. Generally, I like King, Wilbur Smith, Ken Follet or even something a little raunchy (provided it has an actual plot).

Thank you Kenneth. Consider it on the list of possibles. I have read Horns, but wasn't a fan. I probably need to give Hill another shot.

Jenny a.k.a....Jenny from the block | 725 comments I find that joe hill's style is very close to his fathers style and prose
heart shape box was a great read and the fireman was a good post apocalyptic story
The son of one of the best authors I have ever read is coming into his own. I agree horns was not that good though but the fireman I did enjoy

Star | 6 comments I agree to Heart Shaped Box. When I picked up the book randomly when it first came out I didn't have high hopes, but it was a very good read.

Boy's Life Boy's Life by Robert McCammon by Robert McCammon. My all-time favorite thriller that I've read and re-read probably 10 times.

Thanks heaps. Have read all the King ones. Have read The Ruins (liked it). Have read Dan Brown. The others I haven't.

message 15: by Keyser Soze (new)

Keyser Soze (truman19) Ah, Jack, yes try The Ruins, like Kenneth suggested above. There are also several King ones, that are not scary as such.

message 16: by Keyser Soze (new)

Keyser Soze (truman19) OK everyone; thanks heaps for the suggestions. I have gone out and purchased:

NOS4R2, Joe Hill
Hex, Thomas Olde Heuvelt
The Dry, Jane Harper.

I did also want Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter, but couldn't get it at Dymocks yesterday.

Keyser Soze (truman19) Interesting. Thank you Jaye.

Keyser Soze (truman19) I just then finished Joe Hill's NOS4R2. Absolutely loved it. So, so, so much better than Horns. Cant wait (for the sequel and) Fireman. First tho, either Hex or The Dry.
