In joining this review group you have agreed to review the novels assigned to you on a two month schedule. This group is now in the review phase and is no longer open for sign up.

This is Short Book Fantasy Review Group 3, including any Fantasy or Paranormal novella between 10,000 and 40,000 words in length. As with other review groups, you will be expected to read and give an honest review of the books assigned to you. Assignments will be made after the group sign-up has filled.

Participants are expected to post reviews to Goodreads. If the review is positive (three stars or higher on Amazon), the review should be posted to Amazon (US and UK) as well, if the book is available there. This makes having accounts with both Goodreads and Amazon.com a requirement.

If a reviewer and the author agree that the review should not be posted to Goodreads due to quality issues, the reviewer is relieved of the requirement of posting the review. If this occurs in the first round, the second reviewer is relieved of the requirement to read and review the book. This is entirely at the discretion of the reviewer and is not intended in any way to manipulate the rating of any book.

Contact the authors you are scheduled to review to arrange to receive a review copy of their work.

Please post to this topic, both when you receive review copies and when you post the reviews.

If you are going to be late with your review, either post to this topic as soon as possible or message the author and the moderator.

If your book has not been reviewed by the deadline for either round, contact the review group moderator. This is necessary to make certain that the review process is fair for everyone.

Note that any participant who makes no effort to fulfill his or her commitment to this group will have all reviews of his or her work resulting from this group deleted and his or her membership in the Genre Specific Review Group will be terminated.

We have five books signed up. I do have a possible sixth, but the book is a little longer than the upper limit (approximately 47,000 words). I need to hear from the participants of this group about whether it is okay to include this book.

What do you say?

We have a problem. Reno Bastian has already read and reviewed three of the books in this group. There is no way for us to set up a review schedule without having reciprocal reviews with the six participants we now have. Do not start reviewing yet. We will have to work this out first.

Because Reno has reviewed three books in this group already, I have reluctantly asked him to bow out of this group. He has agreed.

We now have eight books. We have not done an eight book group before, but we are going to try it with this one. I will post the books soon. In a day or so, I will post the review schedule. Please let me know about any conflicts as soon as possible.

Reno Bastian (Calapsic) | 6 comments Sadlly i was highly misunderstood and as i said ok, and it's fine ill be alright, i guess, but your not being logical about this though neither did you really pay attention, or read, you assumed, without questioning - and for me :D it's ok. Fact is i don't mean i reviewed the book, in a full. i never reviewed it!!!!!! i read it!!!!!!!!!!! - you reader!!!!!!! I asked how would they like the review, to be done , its six books and making the list was taking years to finish ..... i read all those books because i wanted to, so when the review begins if i had to read all 6, i would have already read three. i plan around me having a life, that's why i read the ones that interested me while you was forming the group. i didn't review anything or id never ask where and how do you want your reviews, the reason you restarted was illogical and not rational at all. but as i said it OK , but that made no sense and wasted time. Thank you all!

The review schedule has been posted in the first comment of this topic. Review the schedule and obtain review copies of the book assigned to you. Note that recent change to Amazon's policy about reviews means that reviews that are not verified as purchases may not appear on the Amazon pages for the book. If you want to be certain that the reviews on Amazon are seen, you may want to gift your book to the assigned reviewer. This policy does not affect reviews on Goodreads.

Once you have obtained a review copy of the book assigned to you, please post a comment to this topic. Also, when you publish your review, post a comment here, as well.

Hi P.T.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing the book. Much appreciated.

James McCormick Could someone tell me if the deadline has been extended? I thought it was the 16th Jan but I noticed my book hasn't been reviewed yet - there are no comments here regarding late reviews.

A reviewer dropped out of the last but one group I was in and didn't review my book, and it seems that the same thing might have happened for another group that has just closed- so I am out two reviews for my last two groups- forgive me then if I come across as a little nervous on this subject.
