My list goes back to 2013. There are 75 books on there but I should trim it down. I hold out forever hope that I will get to read them all. :)

New Stuart MacBride!! An absolute no-brainer addition to my TBR pile.https://www.facebook.com/stuartmacbri...
HAHA I have 531 books on my to-read list! Most, I have no idea why they are there. But, so hard to just cut them out. I am a hoarder at heart, if only in my mind.
I'm a different Mary but I too have a lot of books on the 'to read' list on Goodreads ("only" 327 as of today), but I also have a list in Excel - yes, I am a computer nerd - of around 75. It IS hard to know which one to tackle next, but I really HATE to lose track of a book or author who sounds interesting. That's how my lists grow and grow. Even getting through 40 books this year, the list has not dwindled. If anything, this group and Goodreads in general have "helped" me add to it.I hope to retire in about a year and can hardly wait to start picking titles from my virtual book stash.

Me too!
Whoop! New Val McDermid (Carol Jordan & Tony Hill series) on the way.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
The local library closest to me (45 km away) has introduced a Book Butler service. Since I pay for a card at that library I thought i would give it a try .... You fill in a questionnaire and list the last five books you read that you liked and five you didn't like and a short description of what liked and didn't like. All of my listings were British mysteries but for some reason the butler person has suggested only Scottish and Nordic authors.
The Nordic were all new to me....and some of the Scottish ones were unknown to me.
Then I checked the library and of course the library either doesn't have any of the authors' books or has one from mid series (usually out on loan)
Back to Amazon ......
