those both work for both options Mary Ann but remember to post one as being option 1 and one as being option 6 - it doesn't matter which way round but don't claim both as on the non-fiction list

I am currently reading Maus: A Survivor's Tale : My Father Bleeds History, which is #6 on the list, but it's a Graphic Novel. Will this be allowed, or not?

I am not sure about this graphic novels are included under rule 5

5. Books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed in the task description for a higher point task.

Graphic novels, manga or collected comic book issues must be at least 100 pages.
Collections of syndicated, periodical or internet comic strips, single or short-format panels, or cartoons must be at least 200 pages to be used for SRC tasks.

I am not sure if this means they can only be used if they are over 200 pages or if they can be used only for certain point tasks. I think you would be better asking on this thread

Per the basic SRC rules:

So, I think the answer is NO ... since the task creator did not specifically allow graphic novels.

whenever you use a list, be it like mine a top 100 or a list of say Best books of 2012 or best happiness books, the book chosen must still fit the basic rules e.g. over 100 pages long so there will always be some on a list that don't work. If you see post 3 of this thread the moderator has pointed out one which doesn't work in the audio list, I think book concierge is probably right about this one
