In the preface of YES PLEASE, Amy Poehler states the following in regards to writing her book:
"I am forty-two, which is smack-dab in the middle. I haven't live a full enough life to look back on..."
This begs the question, at what age do you feel someone can write a memoir?
Obviously anyone can, at any age – Grace Coddington (Creative Director for American 'Vogue') wrote her memoir at 71; at age 15, Jazz Jennings (a child who transitioned from boy to girl at age 5) published her memoir here in 2016 – but would you think differently about their book even partially based on their age?
