The Primal Blueprint has been revised and expanded in a new release, and normally I'd say this is clearly just a new edition of the same book. However, in this case, the title has been changed to The New Primal Blueprint. I'm not sure whether to add this as a new edition to The Primal Blueprint or to make it a separate book due to it having a slightly different title.

Can anybody clear this up for me?

Sandra | 31485 comments Title of the book is irrelevant. It is the content that matters. How much was it expanded?

If it is more than say 10% then it would be a new book. And if so it would need a librarian note so that another librarian doesn't combine it in the future.

10% is pretty low, actually, and not enough. But in this case, it seems to have gone from about 300 pages to over 500.

Sandra | 31485 comments How much do you think it needs to change to be considered a different book? Inquiring minds need to know :)

There is no hard and fast rule. It depends on a lot of factors.
