Jackie (goodreadscomrumbelle517) When is the next tome topple?

Sarah (harasnicole) | 6 comments Jackie wrote: "When is the next tome topple?"

From the Tome Topple Twitter page: "UPDATE: #TomeTopple was planning to have its next round in May but due to multiple co-hosts moving and hectic schedules, the next round won't be happening until over the summer. The hosts love the readathon as much as you do and we want to be available to participate as well."

I was wondering if I had missed the date. Huge sigh of relief that I haven't.

Jess Souster (jess-souster-a-tale-of-tomes) Could a 'Children of blood and bone' and 'The Night Circus' discussion board be opened? :) Would love to read these two along with some people!

Jess (freaks over books) (morriganofthefey) | 22 comments It is ambitious, but I will try to read City of Brass, Queens of Innis Lear, the Poppy War, and possibly a re-read of Strange the Dreamer.

message 110: by Littlebookterror (new)

Littlebookterror | 2 comments I think for me it's going to be the name of the Wind, a conjuring of light and the sight? Or possibly Liebten Wir, depending on how I feel

Jess (freaks over books) (morriganofthefey) | 22 comments Oh, also Starless by Jacqueline Carey!

message 112: by Nina (new)

Nina ✳ The Shadow Dancer ✳ (goodreadcommystic_nina) | 3 comments I'll probably be reading "The well of ascension" by Brandon Sanderson & "Nevernight" by Jay Kristoff.

message 113: by Alan (new)

Alan I'm for sure reading The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu, as it's a bookclub pick for my Goodreads SFF group, but apart from that I'm as yet undecided.

Question: Pretty much all the books I read are already adult--does this mean I should read YA for the other challenge books? Or should I swap out "adult book" for "YA book" for that particular challenge?

I'm probably drastically overthinking this. ; p

message 114: by Meg (new)

Meg I plan on reading The son of Neptune and The Mark of Athena from the Heroes of Olympus Series. I’m currently reading The Lost Hero so I might read the son of Neptune before the it starts and read the 3rd and 4th books instead.

I'm reading City of Brass too! Want to buddy read it?

message 116: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (thenocturnalgal) | 7 comments Pretty sure I'm going to try to read The Diviners by Libba Bray, the Twelve Mile Straight by Eleanor Henderson, and potentially the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon. If anyone wants to buddy read shoot me a message! :)

Simon (simontaneously) Nina ⚡Oathbringer⚡ wrote: "I'll probably be reading "The well of ascension" by Brandon Sanderson & "Nevernight" by Jay Kristoff."

If you're interested in buddy reading then Nevernight is on my TBR-list and I would read it for tome topple too.

I'd totally love to read and discuss that one."

Me too!

message 120: by Ali (new)

Ali (booklandish) | 9 comments I had planned to read only Sci Fi for the month of July and the Tome Topple could not have come at a better time since the first books on my TBR are:
- Obsidio (621 pages)
- Leviathan Wakes (561 pages)
- Caliban's War (595 pages) ...well maybe just start that one.
I'd love to discuss the two first ones if anyone is into it.
I'm so excited!
BTW: the home page has dates set for the Tome topple in August
Just to be clear, it is from June 29th to July 12th like announced in the video right?

Jackie (goodreadscomrumbelle517) I'm going to read Mistborn and Fall of Giants, but I might include The Lies of Locke LaMora and Wizard and Glass. There are so many tomes on my shelf I want to put at least a dent in.
