Leah's Peace & Chasing Norie by Sophie Dawson and re-combine with the ebook editions
Both books have one edition with ASIN in the correct field and one with ASIN in the ISBN field or deleted at all.

to be combined back to https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

This outlines the idea: https://www.goodreads.com/help/librar...
I'm separating #417 again, please leave it like that :)

This is the first step of the merger, please simply merge one with the other, doesn't matter which to which, for they need to be then merge with another edition. The US illustrated edition published by Arthur A. Levine Books (an imprint of Scholastic, Inc.) has different number of pages depending on the source, at one point both of those pages listed it as 272 (the number given on Amazon AND the Scholastic Store official site), now one is changed to 259 (matched what was provided by Worldcat); either way, those two should be the same edition.

Please merge the one WITHOUT ISBN13 into the one WITH info. The one with info, though with less ratings, is created first and has the actual relevant blurb to that specific edition.

Despite the librarian note stating one of them as an ACE, I believe this is a move that's long over-due (and would present the case for anyone that felt an explanation was necessary); please merge the one WITHOUT ISBN13 into the one WITH info.

Alternate-cover edition for ISBN-10: /ISBN-13: 9781408845646
I've PMed the said librarian about my following observation, and he suggested that I post it to this group.
The statement of it being an ACE and to which edition it is of, I believe it was due to the url provided on the said page (the librarian who wrote it does not recall the detail); I looked through the Librarian Changelog for this particular page (www.goodreads.com/book/edits/28550610...), and as one can see at the very beginning, something fishy was already going on:
publisher: '' to 'Arthur A. Levine Books'
url: '' to 'http:// www . harrypotter . bloomsbury . com/uk/harry-potter-and-the-philosophers-stone-9781408845646/'

Fishy, as in why would an edition that's supposedly published by the US publisher, has the url of the UK publisher? The info on that page listed "Arthur A. Levine Books", which is an imprint of Scholastic Inc. (US publisher), with the fact that it also is using the US title, and not just the title on the book page on Goodreads, but also what's printed on the book cover image for the said book; which, to me, is highly doubtful, as 9781408845646 (the ISBN13 the statement claimed to be an alternate cover of)

The ISBN13 9781408845646 is presumably thought as the actual thing because of the said url, but there's a high possibility that this url shouldn't even be on this page to begin with, after all, if the publisher really is Arthur A. Levine Books, THIS is the correct page from the publisher: www.arthuralevinebooks.com/book.asp?b...
I admit I cannot be 100% sure, but I think Bloomsbury has been very firm in the past; don't think they'd take on "Sorcerer's Stone", and they've never really caved in to use the famous US Harry Potter logo (the one with P having the lightening stroke) on their editions, which was why I find it doubtful they would ever use an identical cover as the US one. (But it still goes down to the fact that the publisher was listing the US one anyway, so why was the url there?)
Conclusion: If one can agree on the logic that the UK url is falsely provided on a page that displays US book title, book cover, and publisher; there is then not even an argument about whether or not it is an ARC for the UK edition, because it is NOT. Getting the "being an ARC" out of the picture, the page in question is basically a duplicate of the US edition, hence the request of this merge.
For the different page numbers, the same ISBN has different results depending on the source, but basically the US edition (as of now) with the exact same cover, should be the same edition with the same ISBN.
Hope the breakdown makes sense, it did to me anyways.

I am not the author of 7 Weeks Action Plan - The Insider's Guide to Achieving More (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) but this book show up on my author dashboard. Would it be possible to remove this book from my dashboard. Thank you very much.

I am not the author of 7 Weeks Action Plan - The Insider's Guide to Achieving More (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...)..."
Book and quote moved to a new author profile.

Combine back with: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

This is three times the same book:
https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
(ISBN 10 8500015934) (ISBN13: 9788500015939)
I think I could merge them myself as two are under 5 reviews. But then there's "leave deletions for superlibrarians"!
Does the 5 review rule stand or is it safer to "leave deletions for superlibrarians" in every case?

And this: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
The spelling of the title in this https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... is incorrect.

#416 Leah's Peace done
#416 Chasing Norie not done: the covers are different
#417 should it be merged into a specific edition? Currently there is only one edition (duplicate) separated from all other editions
#418-419 done
#420 done in #411
#423-425 done
#426 skipped, don't have the time to investigate
#429 done
#430-436 done
#437 two duplicates merged.
Librarians can merge duplicates that are shelved (not rated) less than 5 times. Since you posted in this thread, where requests should be left for a superlibrarian, I've queued two duplicates for merging.
Please note: merging does not transfer details like a cover from one edition to another; only reviews/ratings/shelvings are transferred. Other details have to be added to the edition that is kept. I've updated the edition with the isbn with the cover from Amazon, the authors from the cover and the Portuguese description from one of the duplicate editions.
#438 edition without isbn merged.
Please ask to have the existing edition edited next time, rather than adding a new edition.

Yes, it looks like Patty had separated it, I combined it with the most popular 2008 edition again: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Thanks a lot, Arenda!
After having a request processed here I always go back there and recover all details! :-) And recombine when suitable.
Everything noted, anyway! Very kind of you!

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
re-combine with https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
thanks

First is a stray, second has truncated ISBN13 for default edition.

Please merge the one that basically has no info with the one that has it. Though, the publication month on both pages are different, the title of the mostly-blanked page indicates it is intended to be the UK Deluxe Illustrated Slipcase Edition, which is the one I'm requesting it to be merged with.
Reminder; anyone super-librarian that is patient enough, #426 remains to be processed. Thanks!

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
I can't find (and it doesn't seem to exist in the Italian libraries catalog) an edition with the ISBN beginning with 9788804564, so the 4 at the end must be a mistake.
I separated with the most popular Italian edition (same year)
recombine with https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7...
thanks

Please merge the one without ISBN into the one that has the info. Thanks! =D

The librarian note states doubts if that book exists ... I second that... couldn't find any hint that there is such a book by this author, only found a film (which has different cover) with this name and some books on amazon by different authors.
Google doesn't bring up anything by searching the asin - except the GR link.
Amazon doesn't have any information with that ASIN.
I think that could be deleted, because it's just rubbish and not existing as a book by this author.

as it is a duplicate of https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Also this book
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
should be merged with that one (same book, new edition)
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

#449 done (both duplicates could have been merged into the isbn edition immediately, rather than first merging one duplicate into another; these Harry Potter merges are already taking forever to go through)
#450 not deleted; it was imported from Amazon so probably available at some time
#451 Done. Please only post one book per message.
For Gorgias: both your links are duplicates. Merged both into the valid edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Also please don't create a new edition, just ask to have an existing edition updated when details are missing. (For books that have an isbn, using the isbn is usually the best way to search if a book is already on Goodreads.)
For Le Banquet: no deleting needed. Combined the Kindle edition with the other editions. Please start a new thread when an edition should be combined, or use one of the existing combine threads.

9788535906318
has the most info, has correct ISBN, as in book, publisher, Amazon and Worldcat.
Publisher for checking: http://www.companhiadasletras.com.br/...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
has invalid ISBN 9788535906315,
and apparently doesn't show anywhere I looked.
So, please delete this SECOND one.
They're combined. Thank you!

Oh dear! I'm so sorry! For some reason, the wording on the help topic (regarding to merging pages) always gave me the impression that "one" would be merged into "the other", as in a process between two pages. I suppose my brain was just a bit weird that it was hard for me to picture the mechanics when it involves more than two editions. Thanks for letting me know! If there's situations like this again I'll make sure to do it right!
(And yes... with the Harry Potter books... well... I suppose I could just leave them alone... but I just have a somewhat irrational loathing towards duplicates lol)

Got 455
Please do not move ISBN's between editions prior to requesting merge, makes more work as we then have to check out your changes prior to deleting the editions. If they need moving prior tot he merge the super will do it

Thank you!
