907 There was a change of cover and the cover that was removed has the same colours as on the page of the publisher. So that edition shouldn't be deleted. If both covers exist one should be changed to an alternate cover edition.

There is only one cover for this edition, however, one cover is the actual photo of the book and the other is just the cover design.

There is a discrepancy with the publication date, however, I own the 2005 edition, and there is no bibliographic reference to a 1998 edition (the translation's copyright is for 2005). I could find no evidence of such an edition online. The publisher's site was also less than helpful in that regard.

I remember there was a GR user insisting on an alternate cover edition for the illustrated edition. At the time, as I recall, it was explicitly asked and confirmed that isbn and cover belonged together (one was for Sorcerer's, the other for Philosopher's), though I can't find the evidence for this in the threads of the Librarian Group.
I'm not merging them (too many "if", "believe", "probably").

Yes, I made two editions trying to list the single ebook so that people like me, who frequently look up books by ISBN, could still find it. If the ISBN has to be on that listing, then the Kindle edition should be combined with it because they are the exact same book. There were never two separate versions and I'm not sure why Goodreads is set up in a way to not allow both on a single edition because all books for sale on Amazon can have both numbers?

Kindle editions with ASIN and ebooks with isbn are considered different editions on Goodreads. When it is Kindle exclusive, please only add a Kindle edition with ASIN. Goodreads lists Kindle editions only with ASIN, not isbn.
