I'm feeling this same way. Everyone seems to love this one and honestly, if it weren't such a quick read I wouldn't continue. I expected something better and funnier.

I accidentally just finished reading this. I guess I liked the characters but the writing kind of made them hard to connect to. After a while it got better though. I'm not sure how I feel about Greg. I liked that he was honest, not really with other people but with himself at least. It kind of seemed that Rachel was just kind of there and not really a big part of the story. Earl had a lot of issues but that was understandable considering what his family was like. Overall I liked the book and how "real" the characters were but I feel like I didn't like it as mush as everyone else seems to.

How do you like it so far?

Wow that's fast! I'm just at chapter 22. I found Greg hilarious, and he reminds me of the Greg in Wimpy Kid. I laughed at the text he sent to Rachel when he was high.

I was only planning to read to Chapter 22 today, lol. Yeah, that part was pretty funny. There were a few parts that I laughed at but mostly it was kind of depressing, especially more towards the end. It was a lot less funny than I thought it would be and that was kind of disappointing.
