Claire I think mankind's greatest enemy is ourselves.

Rachel | 4 comments I agree that it could be "ourselves" partially. I think one of our greatest enemies could be our own ego. It could also be desire. Wanting more and doing every thing we can to get it without being thankful for what we have.

Mahdi the greatest enemy are humans themselves! till now, we're the only alive creatures in the universe, and we're in charge of everything happens at least on Earth. We went on wars, we made arms, tons of them, we were killers, muders, we still do. Now we're threaten by the global warming and polution consequences which are the results of our "human" industrial activities. Those were just two issues that just poped in my head once ive read the topic, i could go further but that won't make any sense because each and everyone of us is aware of what' s going on so reminding each other isn't worthy.
I hope we can see better days. Cheers

Mankind, but to go deeper, its the ignorance in mankind. We're ignorant to the power of our own minds, to the effect we have on others. Most people would perfer to be a cog in the wheel, and not in control over lives, the lives of children and the people who love us. We would perfer to blame a child's problems on society, or the problems with our loved ones on them. Humans are powerful whether we recognize it or not, so all we have to do is recognize that power and stop acting like a water drop in the ocean and things will get better.

Claire that's a really good point, I never really thought about it like that. Of course I don't think most, if any, individuals are capable of changing the world completely, but everyone can make a significant impact. I think people are often held back by thinking 'oh there's nothing I can do about that'. But there's usually something.
