Wow, thank you so much!!!!! I wasn't expecting a response let alone the right book! Will have to buy this book again, I loved it as a kid :) :)
As a child I had a favourite picture book. The plot was basically this from what I remember:
A rabbit has a near miss going across the road to get food/go home, he nearly gets hit by a car. The rabbit family are really distressed and someone comes up with the idea to burrow under the road to create a path that goes under instead of over. I remember the pictures were detailed, lots of rabbits all working together to put up bits of wood/stone etc to make a safe burrow.
In the end it is much safer and everyones happy. It was a short little picture book and I loved it to death, but cannot recall the name or author for the life of me. If anyone could help I would be so happy!
