Help cleaning up and disambiguating a (prolific) author's books

Hi Librarians,

We have an author, Matt_Green (currently owns the single-space author disambiguation) with quite a number of books on two different profiles, https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... and https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...). He is the author of many (but not all!) of these Biography Series books. He would like us to move all of the Biography Series books that he did write over to the Matt_Green author profile that he'll claim as a Goodreads Author. In addition, he would like us to remove the books from Matt_Green that he did /not/ write. I also noticed that at least some of the books appear to be imported through ONIX Smashwords, and it's likely that more will come through that channel, in case that affects how we treat this disambiguation.

I'm reaching out to the librarian group because you'll probably know the most efficient way to resolve all this for Matt!

We should probably use his Amazon profile as ground truth for which Biography Series books belong to Matt Green: https://www.amazon.com/Matt-Green/e/B... . Note that there are a few books in there that are probably not properly disambiguated on Amazon as well, so please limit the books on the Matt_Green profile to just those in the Biography Series.

My suggestion would be that we need to move the books not by the GR author to a new profile or the correct one, e.g. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... (2-space profile). Working on this

Rivka would be best placed to do the merge for Biography Series into Matt Green given the sheer quantity of works (currently 95). Posted in the thread for her.

Not sure whether to ask for a fiddle to bounce the Goodreads Author to the 2-space profile so he no longer gets everyone's automated imports.

OK, looks like most of the books on the 1^ profile were already his, judging by the cover style chosen. Only his biographies appear to be available now, but I can't move the others if they were authored by him as that would be contrary to policy. He does need a TON of combining though!

EDIT: I think I've got all of the medical books now onto the 2^ profile, and the remainder all share the same subject matter or cover style and thus I believe all belong to the same author. I have not managed to do all the combining as the same work is under a number of variations in title. I'll get those when I get home if no-one else has grabbed them.
