@Lisa, I love Reese's Pieces they are yummy! I will bring the Laura Secord Candy Canes because they are also yummy and it's wouldn't be Christmas without them and speaking of Christmas. I did get an email from ARe announcing my gift. It came as "unknown sender" (no 'from' email address), though, so I wonder if some email providers are sending them to spam before the recipient even sees them (so not your local spam folder). Just a thought.

And I got it through ARe and got a notification email. So, sometimes they send them and sometimes not? Heather didn't get one with her last one either, and she's not international. Karen did, and she's Canadian. That's just weird. I wonder if you have to choose notification? I'll have to look at that.

Heh, I'm nosy? LOL! What's awesomesauce is all this giving, look at all these books already! Didn't we count last year at the end, was something like almost 700 books gifted? Off to a roaring start. I love it!

I suspect they always send them. But once the email leaves their server, they have zero control over it (I do software support and troubleshooting for a living and you don't even want to know how often I've run into this very problem). It's also possible that there is a bug in their outbound scripts and it's getting kicked. If that's the case, they might not even know about it (before now)..

@Lisasj1 - did the email you got have a 'from' address?

When I place an order, the email confirmation I get does have an email address (no-reply@allromanceebooks.com) and the Recommended Reads emails come with (info@allromanceebooks.com via allromanceebooks.ccsend.com) ... So, for me, just the gift email has no 'from' addy ...

As a matter of fact, it did not. Where the email senders name would be it says "unknown sender". If the email subject hadn't been "You have a gift from Your GR Secret Santa on All Romance Ebooks" I probably would have deleted it. So ARe has bugs?

The messages I get are a generic ARe notification telling me that I have a gift from ***** and I know from the ones I've sent in previous years if I don't change the from part it would tell the person my name and the ones I've gotten this year the sender has diligently removed their name and entered the name 'Mrs. Santa'.

There is no such thing as bug-free software. Truly.

But I suspect that the lack of 'from' addy is at least part of, if not the whole, problem. So, if/when they contact you back, mention that. Gmail seems ok with that, but some other providers...maybe not.

Not the message, but the actual 'From' email address. For the gifting, it seems it is blank.
