Yeah, his writing style doesn't appeal to everyone. Love is a Stranger took me a bit to get into, but then I loved it. But I can see where it wouldn't click with a lot of people. His writing style is a bit...different, I guess.

I had it on my wish list and planned on buying it after our exchange was done because I was fortunate enough to meet this lovely author and spend some time chatting with her at GRL and she talked to me about this book and and they both sounded so good. And I also read How To Be A Normal Person this year as well, I'm pretty amazed and impressed at the different 'voices' in each book. LSH was so darn funny. This was one of the quotes I had to add:

From what I heard, "How to be a Normal Person" is a great read :)

LOL! I know what you mean! I've heard many people say they can't read his books. But I loved all the ones I've read (which haven't been too many yet)
I read Tell Me It's Real, Wolfsong, The Lightning-Struck Heart, How To Be A Normal Person, Crisped + Sere and Withered + Sere. I have almost all his other books but you know how it is :)

And yes, How to Be... is a great book IMO! Funny but also so unbelievably sweet!
