Jen (reader44ever) | 16 comments Is anyone reading this right now? I'm somewhere around 70% of the way through it (on page 484 of 662) and enjoying it very much.

It was sort of confusing in the beginning, but somewhere after Chapter Three, I abandoned my confusion and settled into the story. :-)

On page 66, in Chapter Nine, Kvothe shared this thought, "It gets tiresome being spoken to as if you are a child, even if you happen to be one." I love this line. I felt exactly the same when I was a young child.

The next moment that stands out comes in Chapter Fifty-Five, on page 371. After (view spoiler) I broke, too, and sobbed with them. :-)

And then I laughed a little on page 379, in Chapter Fifty-Six, when Simmon and Wilem were talking with Kvothe about girls, (view spoiler) *hehehe*

I'm now on page 484 and am hoping to finish this book today, so I'd best get back to reading!

Happy Reading to you all! :-)

Nina I' have started on it but I'm only 22 % in and not sure if I love it yet. It startes to develop into an interessting direction so maybe I'll start to love it soon. For me the first changing point was when Kvothe went out to get soom wood for the fire. Then I started to like him, as he became more human to me.

I think I'm falling in love with Kvothe. Or maybe my fall has already happened. ;-)

I'm now on page 550. :-)

Happy Reading!

Jen (reader44ever) | 16 comments Oops, forgot to share. . . I finished this book on the 17th. It was pretty wonderful. I really fell in love with it. I laughed and cried as said above and just really enjoyed Kvothe's sharing of his life story.

I gave this book five stars, will write my review today or maybe, more likely, tomorrow, and plan to buy this book and the second one in this series. And then I might reread this one and read the second one for the first time in the next Tome Topple, if I can manage to wait however long it will be until the next one. ;-)

I hope you all enjoyed it, too!

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 19 comments I so want to read this for this round but I'm finishing off The Hero of Ages. I ordered the 10th anniversary edition so I think I'll save this for next round. :)
