Cassius | 2 comments I made a list specifically for members of a forum of mine to add their recommendations to, but a random voter found the list and started adding books. Could someone remove 'Wendy' from the list along with the following books she voted for?

Black Sunrise (3rd ed) by Christina Engela
Innocent Minds by Christina Engela

Also, is there any way to restrict voting on books to people on my friends list? I would rather not have to keep requesting book/voter removals because of random people.

Sandra | 31485 comments Lists are public and cannot be restricted to a specific group of people. It is in the terms under 'Create a New List'.

However, if you make it absolutely clear that it is for a specific group and/or type of book, then you may have cause to remove OPs books.

I know you are going to say you did that, but when I looked at it, the MISC said to me miscellaneous, and the OP may have taken it that way as well.

Cassius | 2 comments Yeah, it's true that there are various misc forums around the net the voter could have thought it was referring to. I've edited the description to be more specific. Is it possible to have someone remove the requested books at this point or is there other changes I need to make?

You can specify that people only vote for a certain type of book, or even for a pre-selected list of books, but you can't demand that a whole group of people not vote on your list, which is what you're doing.

What you could do is link to a list of books which you are limiting the voting to. (There are listopias that do this; a simple example would be History Pulitzer Prize winners, or books issued by New York Review Books press.)
