Include My Book in the Short Story Review Pool (Step 4)
Hi AttilaSorry to submit. The old account appears not retrievable. Presently, I’m on a budget. The process is going to take a little time. To some degree, I guess their process is understandable. Though, to some degree, the preferences that are established by some authors, the process to, and for authors does not appear to be inspiring. Is there a time requirement of establishing the review to the Amazon site?

Because the books in this pool are short stories, there is one week to write the reviews. If you need a few more days, that's fine. If you need a lot more than that, then you need to talk to the Author to see if he's fine with waiting that long or he would rather have someone else pick the book.

I understand. Keep in mind however, that the author sent you the book in exchange for a review on both Goodreads and Amazon. He is expecting that review. He already did a review for someone else (and posted both a Goodreads and an Amazon review) to get a review for his book (again: posted on both Goodreads and Amazon).
The rules of the pool clearly state that you need to post on both sites to be credited. Please read the full rules here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
The relevant points to this situation are:
"If you are not able to post the review on amazon.com, you need to let us know! The author will decide if he or she is okay with a review elsewhere. If they do not accept a review elsewhere, and you are not able to post your review on amazon.com, then we will not be able to credit you for that review!"
"Step 3: Read and review the book you have chosen, and post the review on Amazon and Goodreads within one week. (This pool has short stories that can be read in an hour. One week should be more than enough time. Let’s keep things flowing. :))"
"Step 4: Post the link to both your Goodreads review and your Amazon review in the [Include my book in the Short Story review pool] thread."
If you are not able to post your review on Amazon.com, then you need to talk to the Author to see if he's okay with a review elsewhere. (Most authors are not, since the pool focuses on Amazon reviews.)
Next time, please make sure you let the author know that you are not able to post an Amazon review BEFORE you get the book. This needs to be mentioned when you select the book, to allow the Author to make the decision.
Right now, other people cannot choose that book, and the author is missing out on a review, even though he did a review for someone else already.
We need to resolve this situation within a few days, otherwise the book will have to be returned to the pool.
If you need a few more days to sort this out, that's fine. But let's set a reasonable deadline for this. The review normally needs to be written in one week. You asked for this book on May 31st. We're getting close to that book being tied up for three weeks now. So let's make that deadline 3 weeks + 1 day: June 22nd. If this situation is not resolved by then (either by you talking directly to the Author, or by posting the review on Amazon.com), the book will have to be returned to the pool.

Hi AttilaThank you for your response. I’m not going to plight ethics regarding the complication. Not to hinder any bodies outlook for opportunity, with all due respect, please resubmit the book back into the review pool. I apologize for not being aware of certain submission requirements established by Amazon. Though minor, creditable application have been achieved, but for some reasons not acknowledged. Complications will not succeed in my next attempt in the hopes of providing, and acknowledging opportunities.

Can't find it on Amazon.com. The author is British, which doesn't always means it's not on the U.S. site, but is not unusual if it isn't.

I don't understand why, but I can't review/find my review on Amazon. I sent in the review, but it's not showing up. I don't know if it is because I don't have a verified purchase or what, but I thought I saw it at one point under the most recent reviews, so I was just going to post the URL to the book page on Amazon, but I know that'll be difficult to actually find the review. I just didn't know how to highlight on the review, so it was the only one to read. I figured out Goodreads, but now I don't have proof of reviewing on Amazon. And, not only that but I also accidentally posted my review under my Dad's account, but it's still not showing up. So I have no idea how to prove that I posted a review on amazon, and it won't let me repost.
The short story--if I still can since I can't prove I reviewed stuff on Amazon--I would like to add is: The Unlucky Thief. It isn't on Amazon or iTunes yet, so I would appreciate reviews on Kobo and Smashwords as well as Goodreads.
EDIT: I can try posting the review on my mom's amazon account, if it will count. I looked at Amazon.co.uk but I'm not allowed to review on that because i have bought anything from the UK.
Amazon reviews only appear after they are approved by someone at Amazon, and this can take a while. Let's check back on this in a few hours. Hopefully it will be approved by then.
