Does anyone else disagree with the "official" pronunciation?

The pronunciation according to the author sounds more like an American accent's rather than the Dutch-sounding alternative which to me sounds more "natural"
For me, all J's are pronounced as Y's. So it's I-nay, and not Ine/zh/, Yordie, Yurda Parem and so on... (and Matt-ee-as and not Mutt-eye-ass.)
Do you also have your own way of pronouncing the names?

Thats what happends when writers try to use other languages in their books...
Maria V Snyder named a plant after me (my maidenname) in Night Study (the Vossen). And the narrator made it into "vassen" XD

Yes! Yes. I said I-nay as well. And Will-an instead of Why-lan. (I'm terrible at pronouncing words I don't know, especially from languages I'm not very familiar with, and my brain tends to think that any j that's not in an English word must be said as a y.) I pronounced the th sound in Matthias at first, but got suspicious that I was wrong and looked it up. Even that I got wrong, but I feel like I should have known. Oh well. I watched a book review after reading Six of Crows and the woman said she had gotten the pronunciations from the audiobook, so I realized I'd been saying things incorrectly.
And maybe I'm missing something obvious, but why is the stress in parem on the last syllable instead of the penultimate?
