COS: Part 7 (Chapters 37-41)

As is always the case with WOT books we have a big showdown in the last few chapters of the book except that one showdown ends in a major cliffhanger.

Mat & team (Elyane,Nynaneve & Lan) along with other company finally cross the Rahad to get the bowl of winds, but surprise surprise two black sisters are present at the same location, Nyaneve handles them and Elayne goes in the building to get the bowl. But when Nyaneve hears a scream she asks Mat to investigate.

When Mat reaches the given floor he finds a a Golum up there, while Nalcian dies Mat just manages to survive due to the silver medallion, turns out the golums are boneless creatures who have elasticity to come from gaps in doors. also only six golums were made 3 men & 3 women and even the forsaken are uncomfortable around them.

Mat & Team finally get the bowl, another major thing happens in Ebou Dar that is Seanchan invade it, and Mat gets caught in the crossfire where in the pov of Mat ends in a major cliffhanger in this book.

We also have a Savannah pov where in she is torturing the black sister, but Sammael heads over there and hands these guys a lot of terangreal, he also tells them that other Aiel are just a few days away and they have been given orders by Rand to destroy the Shaido.

One of the terangreal is also able to create a gateway, but Sammael actually has tricked the Shaido and upon using the terangreal they get scattered.

Mean while Rand wakes up and decides to confront Sammael in Illian, but Sammael has been expecting it and he escapes to Shadar Logoth.

Rand also discovers the maiden who was lost in it, also a show down ensures between Rand and Sammael, where in Rand is rescued by a complete stranger in Shadar Logoth.

Unfortunately Rand kills the maiden as she gets trapped by Mashadar, also Rand believes that Mashadar also touched Sammael and he too got killed.

Also guys when you are planning to start the next book ?

I've been waiting for that scene with Mat and the Gollum for like 3 books now. Pulling out the medallion and using it like a flail was pretty awesome.

I thought we got more with the bowl in this book, but I guess that's in the next one.

Who the hell is that guy who helps Rand in Shadar Logoth? Probably a Foresaken, but who?

As far as next book, January will be the earliest I can do it most likely.

I think the guy was Logain, or it can be Forsaken pretending to be female aka Halima or Moridin.

I thought Logain at first, but when he channeled without Rand being able to feel it, I changed my mind.

My first question coming here was going to be who the hell was that guy but guess we all thought the same.

Mat was awesome in the meeting with the boat people(kind of tired and can't think of their name). Think it was mentioned in passing in an earlier book that the daughter of the nine moons was a seanchan title so maybe he will meet his future wife soon.

The Golum was a nice addition to the dark side. Been disappointed with what they put out so far in trollocs, hounds and the crappier forsaken so was nice seeing a true merciless bad guy.
