It is one I read long ago and have been meaning to reread in order to post a review. I remember that in reading this book I found liked Emma even less.

message 105: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Well, Ahnya, this will come as no surprise to you, but I have to pick Pen and Prejudice. Nothing but the best!

(I should warn you that there are some typos and fact-checking errors in the print edition, and maybe in the electronic edition as well, but if this old copyediting stickler can get past them, others can too!)

Nope not a surprise, but I am excited to read it. Usually I can ignore the errors, but it does bother me.

message 137: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Oh, Ahnya! Have you started it yet? You're in for such a treat. Pen and Prejudice is one of my faves. Distinctly different from anything else I've read in the modern JAFF genre. Enjoy!

I like the reading experience anyway. I usually go for the modern variations so it had a good chance, but I couldn't connect with this one.
