I know, thanks Alexis. My son didn't know. I got the email. I called him and we got on a three way phone conversation with my younger son and I sent them the email so they opened it together on the phone with me. My younger son does all the covers and websites. They each live about a quarter mile from me, but I think I could hear them screaming. lol

Sam (Rescue Dog Mom, Writer, Hugger) (sammydogs) | 973 comments Thanks Carole! Transitioning to my future author name. : )

message 404: by Carole (new)

Carole P. Roman It takes awhile to get used to. For some time they would be calling me Carole and I didn't answer until I realized they meant me. Now I have trouble answering to my real name and when I sign checks I make the mistake of doing them with the pen name. lol.

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Finished my husband's present in less than 24 hours! It turned out a lot better than I thought and I actually got inspired to add a similar item to my "summer brain" projects for next year."

Why, thank you. :D

Sam (Rescue Dog Mom, Writer, Hugger) (sammydogs) | 973 comments Carole, I didn't think of that. I'll definitely be doing the same!! Hugs

Christina, Great job on getting your hubby's present finished in HALF the time you hoped!! Hugs

Rohvannyn Shaw | 189 comments I just figured out why I'm getting a few sales on my comedy book! Amazon put an ad on a particular article on HubPages, that features MY book, and people are actually seeing it! W00t!

Alexis | 265 comments I found this website that lets you order a bunch of glasses for like ten euro for one so I went crazy and got new glasses in all colors of the rainbow. (Ok, fine, 3 colors.)

I had a date. And although I looked and felt like crap, the date itself did not suck.:D

Haven't written a word since my BDAY and I'm starting to get very annoyed about that. Very annoyed. BUT I managed to land an editor and two new beta readers.

message 414: by Carole (new)

Carole P. Roman I love rainbows. They make me smile. ;)

message 415: by Kay (new)

Kay | 11 comments Congratulations Carole, amazing news! And to you, Jane on your recently published book.
My good thing today was that I took a break- something I've not done in several weeks. I stayed in my pyjamas for far too long, drank hot chocolate and played on my DS for a few hours. It was fantastic :D

I just got a really positive email back from a possible internship with the Chicago Reader! I've been looking for an internship for college credit and this may be a great opportunity!

Also: Finals are over!!!!

message 417: by Alexis (new)

Alexis | 265 comments I'm wondering if we could have a Random Thoughts thread.. I'm staying off Twitter and Facebook these days for my sanity but would still love a place to chat about random things that dont fit on my blog.

Browse the fun folder. There's a lot of interesting and fun topics. If you don't see one that fits whatever you feel like talking about, start a new topic. I'm not sure what a "Random Thoughts" thread would be, but it might work. As long as it is upbeat and positive. Topics in the fun folder do not have to be about writing, either. In fact, those are really the best in my opinion. There's only so many ways you can say "I write stories" or "I sold a book" before it starts to sound repetitive.

Thank you Ray! :) I checked out your profile just now (nosy now) and realized that I added your book to my to-read list back at the beginning of November and forgot to buy it. So thank you for indirectly reminding me lol

An erotic romance novel starring a badass heroine and a silly hero. I know alphas are all the rage these days, but I think funny guys deserve love too. I just love them. :D And you?

Alexis | 265 comments I laughed so hard today my sides hurt. My mother received a racy message from her brother in law on Whatsapp, but she thought it was just some sort of message telling you something about your astrological sign, so she forwarded it to all her friends lolol. Turns out, aha, it tells you what favorite sexual position is. With pictures and everything. She spend all day apologizing to her church friends lmao. AND blocked her brother in law.

Ugh on the bookfront - still nada. :(

Wow! Sounds wild. I wish you well with that. As for me, I'm working with a film producer on a screen adaptation of my first novel about a boy healer in the 1900s. I want to get to the sequel soon, too. Always so much to do, and so little time.

Today I got fanart. Yay! And I gave out cookies at work, and everybody liked them, and the diabetics really appreciated the fact that I brought nuts and cheese for them. Usually the diabetics get ignored when people bring treats for the team.
