Message to Moderators: Bookshelf Discrepancies

I think I’ve finally figured out where the discrepancies are with our group’s bookshelf. (There are a total of 1305 books included in all four editions of Boxall’s list, but our bookshelf only shows 1302.)

I. These six books need to be added as they are not on the bookshelf at all:
1. Cry, the Beloved Country (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012)
2. The Midnight Examiner (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012)
3. Everything You Need (2006)
4. Adjunct: An Undigest (2006)
5. Kristin Lavransdatter (2008, 2010, 2012)
6. Moscow Stations (2008, 2010, 2012)

II. These two books are duplicated on the bookshelf, and should have one of their listings deleted:
1. An Ethiopian Romance (Shelved as both An Ethiopian Romance AND Ethiopian Story)
2. Le neveu de Rameau (Shelved as both Rameau's Nephew and D'Alembert's Dream AND Rameau's Nephew and Other Works)

III. Edith Wharton has six books on the list, but only five are included on the bookshelf. To correct:
1. Delete the combo edition for Ethan Frome, Summer, and Bunner Sisters (Ethan Frome, Summer, Bunner Sisters) as Summer is already shelved separately.
2. Add the two individual works for Ethan Frome and Bunner Sisters.

IV. Georges Perec has five books on the list, but only four have been shelved. The discrepancy stems from A Man Asleep never having been published alone. I suggest leaving Things: A Story of the Sixties; A Man Asleep shelved as a placeholder for A Man Asleep, and adding Les choses as a placeholder for Things.

V. There are three versions of 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die on the bookshelf. These definitely apply to this group, but aren't specifically part of the 1305 list count.

Also, in reconciling the bookshelf count, I stumbled across four books that have been shelved incorrectly. These should be swapped for the correct List books:

1. Graphic Classics: Journey to the Center of the Earth by Fiona MacDonald is not on the List. This should be replaced with Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012)
2. China Mountain Zhang by Maureen McHugh is not on the List. This should be replaced with Half of Man Is Woman by Xianliang Zhang. (2008, 2010, 2012)
3. Hyperion and Selected Poems: Friedrich Hölderlin by Eric Santner is not on the List. This should be replaced with Hyperion oder der Eremit in Griechenland by Friedrich Hölderlin. (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012)
4. Franz Kafka's The Castle by David Fishelson is not on the List. This should be replaced with The Castle by Franz Kafka. (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012)

Awesome work, Sunny in Wonderland! I was able to make the corrections to the group bookshelf. I noticed that Half of Man Is Woman was already on the bookshelf, but I did delete China Mountain Zhang from the shelves. Thank you for your thorough investigating. Please let me know if you notice any other discrepancies. Unfortunately, the bookshelves were unlocked in the early days of this site and led to a lot of high jinks. Thanks to you and many other dedicated members, we are slowly able to put things back in order. I really appreciate your hard work. Thanks again!!
