I'm kind of new here and am looking for a beta reader for a 7,600 word sci-fi short. It's already been passed by a good editor and I'd like an extra set of eyes for a look see. It's a quick, and hopefully, interesting read I hope you will enjoy
This is my first request for a beta, ever, and I'm more than happy to reciprocrit like-for-like genre and word count(15>20k) , which will increase as I get more experienced.
The story is a condensed intro into a planet Earth annexed by an uncaring alien race. The plot arc follows a Royal Navy Orbital officer who refused to surrender to the new masters and deserted. He is later recaptured and book 2 (currently a WIP) follows his missions into dangerous places and battling unique (I hope) enemies on an impressive scale in his trusty gunboat, HMS Bristol.
I'd appreciate feedback on the usual grammar and stuff, but especially on the interest holding aspect and would like to read the rest of the series.
Anyone interested can either message me, if that's possible here, or drop a mail to perpmoman@gmail.com
