Alexis My routine is pretty .. weird. Lol. I start the day off with the basic hygiene habits and then I watch some local news followed by CNN to see what's going on in America. Afterwards I eat pancakes. Two if I'm feeling bloaty and four if I'm feeling bad ass. Then I open my Netflix app and have Sherlock Holmes playing in the back. Next, I open Microsoft Word (No fancy writing app I'm afraid), read the last thing I wrote (and feel a sense of disgust or joy depending on the quality of the words I put down the day before) and then I write.

All of this happens on the floor of my livingroom with a huge pillow to occasionally rest my head on.

Do you have a routine?

Stone age indeed! But if it works, it works. Right? I'm usually falling asleep at 5, lol!

Quantum (quantumkatana) When I'm working on a writing project-which I haven't been doing for at least a month, instead I've been reading and on Goodreads--on the weekdays after I get home from work and have dinner, then I go upstairs to my office and write on the computer. I used to listen to dubstep or vocaloids or rock or jazz, but I can't do that any more--not productive. Sometimes my daughter works on her story on her computer next to me. She'll read parts out loud to me and I'll ask her for help with finding a particular word or phrase.

On the weekends I get up late and write. Sometimes I don't leave the house for the entire weekend. If I can help it , I don't even go to the grocery store. In fact I've been known to subsist on brown rice, an omelet and shoyu for a day. However, an empty espresso bean bag always warrants a drive.

Zee Monodee (zee_monodee) | 0 comments Sit down at desk after breakfast, usually around 8am. 1 pint mug of green tea next to me, check email, FB, GR. 10 am, log off and go to work, whether editing or writing (all in Word, too. No fancy apps for me either). Usually will have a Yankee Candle burning around me if I'm writing. Break for lunch, workout, shower, back to desk. Work till 4 pm, then in the kitchen to make dinner. Mon-Fri. Weekends are my relax days :)
