I will not be reading the 2012 threads until the last week of the month, mostly because I don't want to allow myself be influenced by it, but you are welcome to post any thoughts you have here before that.

I have decided it would now be a reasonable time to have a quick look at the earlier discussion - which although interesting did not attract many readers. So far this one has been quite a bit livelier than the first time, mostly because more of you have participated. No major differences in the structure and approach.
