I'm looking for a rom-com set in Maine, where a woman owns a successful restaurant, but has a hard time finding a man. Her mother is intolerable, and her sister is living the perfect life. She owns a dog who is her best friend. She is supposed to go on a blind date, but is stood up. When her ex walks in, an old high school acquaintance steps in to save her from embarrassment. He is a local fisherman, and is known for being a bit of a grump. They bump into each other more, go on a date, screw things up, and get together in the end. Her dog dies in the middle and it's a super sad and traumatic event. He buys her a new puppy at the end.
