"Sir Adam, no one wants to die."

"Sometimes our demons take over, Miss Anya. I have nothing left to live for save a few people. And my being alive threatens their happiness."

"Stop calling me Miss, damn you," she growled, totally over the whole formality thing. "If you're free, then you can do better than die for others. You can live for them."

"Anya..." He shook his head. "You said it yourself. We can never be free

"But you can help stop this!" She said, jabbing her finger into his arm. "We're just pawns, but you? He's scared of you!"

"That's why I'm going to try and stop him, even if it means complete suicide."

"You don't have to die," she protested, not liking that thought much.

The headmaster decided to take control while she didn't notice, doing what she would naturally do, so that he could attack Adam at a moment's notice. He let her talk.

"I'm going up against the headmaster alone, and I won't die. Right."

"You don't have to do it alone! Get help from the human kings, try to reason with the dragons!"

"I have no proof! And do you think the human Kings would allow a boy who killed hundreds of dragons into their prescience?"

"They don't know that it's you..."

"They will. Someone must have seen the slaughter..."

"I... I do not think they would help me, even were I allowed into their presence."

"You could beg them! They can't destroy the School, they can't be pitted against each other again!"

"I'd offer to help," she said grimly, "But..." She would have done it on her own, if she could have.

"I know. But this... This is an impossible task."

"And do you want to die if you stay here? You could go do anything with your life. You're free, idiot."

"How am I free, Anya? How am I free? He can still control me for short amounts of time, but now I can break away. If I do something he doesn't like, he could probably still find some way of incapacitating me."

"Adam, maybe he can't control you if you're far away!" She then gasped, as her arm pulled out her knife and slashed at his chest.

"Anya, he controlled us in the dra-" he jumped back at the last second, the knife grazing his chest.

One arm was trying to pull the other back. "Run!" She slowly began to lose control.

He swore, backing down the hallway.

The only sign that she was still conscious inside the killing machine running after him was that she was crying as she drew her swords.

He shook his head, watching her. Somehow, he wished he could have saved her from this. He watched her approaching, then ran down the hallway.

She charged full force, not hanging back.

He sprinted away, not daring to look behind him.

Airi got bored and followed them,she saw the girl chasing the boy with the knifes and she frowned,she was pretty sure your not meant to attack each other,she flew forward and watched,it seemed the girl was being forced against her will

The headmaster was controlling her at long distance. Anya sprinted, going beyond her normal strength.

He ran as fast as he could. There was no way she was really that fast... She would catch him soon...

Her body protested, but the Headmaster pressed. She began to grunt in pain as she was pressed beyond her limits.

He kept running, although at this point not was practically futile. She would catch him.

She collapsed, sword skittering, even pursuing as her body gave out, crawling.

He turned without thinking, his eyes wide.

She had no strength to defeat him, but she was being pressed beyond her limits.

The headmaster made an attempt to control Airi to kill Adam.

"No! Let her go! If you keep controlling her, you'll kill her!" He was angry.

The headmaster saw that as incentive to press her further. She gasped and coughed.

"Stop! You-you're killing her!"

She began to writhe, her muscles stressing out overtime.

"Let her go! She's no use to you dead!"

She went unconscious, still being tormented. He wouldn't kill her, but he could make her feel immense pain.

"Let her go! Can you hear me, let her go!"
