I'm looking for a children's book about a pre-teen (i think) girl whose family runs a theater (in the summer?). It was probably published in late 90's or decade of 2000's. The title I think had the word "thunder" or "lightning" in it, or "june" or bug". I think the girl's father called her June Bug. They used to make a lot of money and always have a full theater, but now they're not having as much business. I think this caused her parents to fight. I think her mother wanted to close down the theater, but her father wanted to keep it going. They do 3 plays a year and this year it is The Tempest by Shakespeare, The Seagull by Anton Chekhov and I don't remember the third one. In the Tempest, the girl is supposed to play a role for the first time ever. She's really excited. The theater combined 2 kid's roles into one so she could play in it. But then a boy comes to the theater. I think his mother started working there? And they split the roles so he gets the one with more lines. She is very bitter. She's also jealous of her older sister because she gets big roles in the theater. The boy has asperger's but the girl doesn't know that because there was a misunderstanding: the boy's mother asked her "Do you know about [enter boy's name her]?" The girl assumes the mother is talking about him having the role, so she says yes, but really the mother was asking her if she knew about him having asperger's. The boy and girl are sort of friends, but not really. She hangs around with him, but is really mean to him. She doesn't know he has asperger's so she always thinks he's annoying and weird, but she hangs out with him because there are no other kids around. Also she's bitter about him getting the part in the play. The theater moves on to perform The Seagull and the girl is obsessed with the fact that one of the characters wears a black dress all the time, so one of the costume makers takes some cheap black fabric and makes a simple dress for her. The girl wears it everywhere. On her birthday at her party the boy said something and she was so annoyed that she exploded and said something really mean to him. He gets really upset. She runs out of the room, and I think her sister or maybe the boy's mother tells her that he has asperger's. She feels really guilty and eventually makes up to him. I don't remember anything else of the story.
