Ana, I love Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. They don't make a lot of sense to me either but I still enjoy reading them. I think they're very "dream like" :)

Started The Shining last night, which I've been too scared to read for years. 150 pages in and it's just starting to get creepy.

Stayed up late last night to finish The Shining and it wasn't as scary as I was expecting. I will admit though that at one point my husband spoke to me and I nearly jumped out of the bed! :)

I haven't seen the movie (and I probably won't because I'm a wimp) but my husband has and he says the book is a bit different - although it's been years since he read it or saw the film so he might be remembering wrong!

I've just finished The Cave . i really love J.Saramago's works and i think this one is my favorite so far! So many wise words between the lines. i'll probably reread it in the future ^^

Loved the movie and the book!! I started with Stephen King way back in the day with Carrie: A Novel of a Girl with a Frightening Power.
You need to read The Stand. If I am remembering correctly, it's the best one ever!

Thanks for the recommendation, I have been debating reading The Stand for a while now, but keep putting it off because I'm scared! Lol. I know once I get around to it, I'll probably really enjoy it but I have to get myself in the right frame of mind :)

I'm in a team challenge and this month it's Fantasy/Paranormal/SciFi.

I got hooked on the Night Huntress series. I had read the first 2 awhile ago. But fell out of reading PNR.

A few days ago I read . I loved it. It's YA and about the Salem witch trials and how it affects people in the present and past. The author is a descendant of Cotton Mather and it's her first novel!
