Jim | 21809 comments As always, because nothing works, I decided I'd try a totally different way of promoting the book.
I've left it to Tallis Steelyard.
The idea is that I'll promote it through his blog and make the promos interesting and fun enough so people like and share them.
Cannot tell if it's working yet obviously but I felt it was worth a try

Jim | 21809 comments Well I got a good initial hit, getting higher than I've managed without serious blog touring.
Whether I get to keep the sales up I don't know
It also got a lot of people subscribing directly to my blogs who followed reblogs by others

Jim | 21809 comments and the advantage of it all is that it's in the public domain.

How else would I get so many attractive young ladies (or young men) to take their clothes off to sell my books?

:-)

Alicia Ehrhardt (aliciabutcherehrhardt) | 4836 comments Imagine sitting or standing on cold marble steps, nude, so the painter could get his drawings and shadows. Does NOT look comfortable, however artistic.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Its probably a much warmer climate than ours, so a nice cool marble step may be quite pleasant...

Actually Tallis Steelyard discusses this very situation

That's not a net curtain, it's a little bit if gauze and they had to paint several before the bit of gauze fell the right way for it to work.
