What I do is write 300 words, then go do something else, (like watch an episode of studio c or check my email)
Then I come back, and do it again.

If I can't even get too three hundred, then I go back to my brainstorming board and look for what the next character developement or Plot Thingy is.

I also like asking myself what is expected, and then NOT doing that.

I've got a bunch of other tricks too, but those will have to remain in my sleeve for now,cuz this response is way to long already.

Those are definitely some useful tricks to use. Especially when you write 300 words, go do something else and then come back to it later that way you don't really think about how much longer you need to go for.*gasps for air*
I think that's the longest run-on sentence I've ever done. ; )

I used to be really bad at writing long things before I started roleplaying, but now that I do, I find breaking a novel up into tiny bits helps.

It's like Rping with myself, kinda.

The only new character that plays an at all important part in the story is Grizel, but she's still not really a major character.

And I see what you mean about Marella and Jensi, but I think that Tam and Lihn are actually starting to be just as important as Dex or Biana, even though they weren't in the first three.

Although personally, importance to the story has almost no effect on which characters I like and which ones I don't so I only really care about that in that I get to see more of them. I think my favorite character right now is probably Bex, and she's in like, one chapter.

That aside, I loved that we got to see more of some of the more minor characters in this book, particularly Maruca and Marella.
