After you have a character and someone to roleplay with (Lorien explained how), you post on the thread that represents the place your characters are traveling to. You type out on the place thread what your character is doing, saying, and thinking at the moment, and the other person replies in kind. Your characters can converse with each other and do all sorts of fun things like prank other characters and go to a Winnowing Gala.

I emailed Shannon Messenger asking about how one could obtain the Barnes & Noble Keefe special edition. Reply:

"Hi Catherine,

This is Shannon’s assistant. I’ve been handling her “quick question” emails for her so she can focus on writing book 7.

The Keefe short story was part of a Barnes and Noble exclusive edition, which means that for the moment it’s only available in that edition. And it was also a limited edition, so it is only available while supplies last. I know it sold out online even before the book released, but some stores still have it (they all got a certain amount, and once they’re gone, they’re gone).

Shannon is planning to post the story on her website as soon as she can. But she has to wait until B&N no longer holds an exclusive right to it, which is usually a year. So most likely it’ll be online in Jan of next year or so.

On page 149 of the paper back edition, next-to-last paragraph... The Heks' last name was originally "Logner"!
