J.M. Lanham | 3 comments Hi folks!

The sequel to my 2016 sci-fi thriller has just hit the Amazon shelves. Set six months after the events covered in the first book of The Ocula Series, The R.E.M. Project takes readers deeper into the Ocula conspiracy—a conspiracy the CIA and Big Pharma will do anything to resolve.

If you're interested in reading the first title for free, I'll be running a three-day free promotion beginning April 17th: Book 2's Kindle release date. But if you can't wait, the first title is available in paperback and Kindle now.

And of course, you can preorder the Kindle version of the sequel up to April 17th (which is a great way to help a broke, struggling indie author, if you ask me). Paperback versions are available now!

The R.E.M. Effect
The R.E.M. Project: A Thriller

Thanks for your interest. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have any questions, or just want to chat about my books, your books, books in general . . . I'm pretty easy to talk to.

Take care!

Hey Stephanie,

I have a two book series I'd love to share with you. The first book is about a young man who discovers he has a strange gift to see into the spiritual world. When faced with these visions, he fears for his family, especially when he discovers that his young daughter seems to have this gift too.

If you are interested, it is called A Rose for Jonathan and has already won several awards.

A Rose For Jonathan

The second book continues the story with the very last character from the first novel, so it can stand alone. It is about another young man with a gift--this time, though the gift is extremely powerful and dangerous. He is forced to flee to save the woman he loves and keep her from the danger that is threatening to not only harm them both but also control him and his power. It is called Quiver and has also won multiple awards.

Quiver

Thank you for any time that you can give!

Hi,how can i get his to you?
Synopsis:
The primary plot is that of a murder. The protagonists are a detective, and a man she meets during her investigation. The murder is of a woman whose husband is a recently retired mob boss. The murder takes place in their home they’ve moved to in the past six months, and changed their names. The home is in a privileged, gated golf community in the Smoky Mountains north of Asheville, NC.
The retired mob boss would normally have a number of enemies, and that is where the investigation leads the reader. The murderer is discovered, in the final chapter, to be a neighbor in the gated community, a woman. This woman has a history of mental illness for which she had received treatment decades earlier, as a result of an arrest for having tried to kill her first husband. This suppressed illness resurfaces throughout the story. It is discovered her behavior has begun to follow that from decades ago.
A sub-plot is that of a hit man, a woman, who has been assigned to kill the mob boss and his wife, but on the day of assassination the mob boss is not home, and the wife is found already murdered. The botched double murder has given her handlers motive to have her herself a target of a hit. The action she takes is to avoid her demise, kill her handlers, and flee. During the story, however, she becomes friends with the detective and develops an alliance of a sort with her. She becomes a likable character. (chapter 34)

Hi! Are you looking for a mystery / thriller book to read and review?
My novel is Shadow of punishment. If you are interested, I'll send you a digital copy (mobi, ePub or PDF to your choice).

Blurb:

"In VitaNuova, Italy's exclusive center for drug rehab, the lives of the people who work there are turned upside down when a young psychologist is murdered.
Hidden truths emerge linking together the apparently random lives of the characters in a dance of intrigue. The mask of hypocrisy slowly falls away uncovering the evil which makes them all both victims and perpetrators of unspeakable crimes.
Two sisters, two lovers and a fake marriage create an explosive mix where love is crushed by hate. A tragic tale of passion, betrayal, blackmail and revenge.
It's up to inspector Nardi to investigate, and soon he will be forced to deal with his own past in order to solve the case."

Blasted Past A Timeless Western Romance When THEN turns into NOW you have a BLASTED PAST (The Blasted Series Book 1) by Walter Danley
When your THEN becomes NOW, you have a Blasted Past. A time-Traveler's Tale of the Old West.

Jim Nagle who has more problems than any 54-year old investment executive can handle. His ex-wife has her lawyers threatening him, his estranged son is in jail, and the California State Franchise Board is chasing him for back taxes. The topper is his business has grown so fast he is mismanaging it. It just seems he can't get a break.
Then, in less time than a single heartbeat, his life is changed forever. A freak accident thrust Nagle back 145 years into history.
After ruling out a bad dream or delusions, Jim begins to realize he has, in fact, been transported back in time and is now standing on the dusty street of a small town called Boerne in post-Civil War Texas.
Raised as a life-long Catholic Nagle had slipped from the grace of the Church over the years. Still a believer if not a practitioner, as he becomes more adjusted to life in 1872 Boerne he eventually comes to believe that only God could send him back in time to this place. His present circumstance could not have been an accident, so it must be a part of God's plan. Nagle's renewed faith convinces him that his Maker wants him in 1872 for a reason known only to Him. But, what is the purpose? Was he sent here to change history? What is the significance of being put in this place at this time in antiquity?

Read and enjoy this rich, nuanced, character-driven tale that goes far beyond good versus evil.

This story will ENTERTAIN, and ENGAGE you, but at the same time you will be ENLIGHTENED by Blasted Past. Watch the Book Trailer here.

John Mollard (jfmollard) | 8 comments THRILLING HOLLYWOOD NOIR WITH A HORRIFIC WEB OF INTRIGUE & SUSPENSE (ARTISAN BOOK REVIEWS)

Every year, scores of beautiful dreamers flock to Hollywood with hopes of stardom. Fact is, few who make the journey ever make it big. Most go back where they come from, while others stay and suffer disillusionment. Some, however, are so desperate they will do just about anything to succeed....

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, AUGUST 2005.

Rich MacGuffin, an aspiring actor with a talent for acting but a distinct lack of tinsel town looks, struggles to find work that will lead him on the road to stardom.

When a series of murders takes place by an elusive serial killer nicknamed THE HOLLYWOOD SPECTRE, and one of those victims is the star in a movie in the process of being shot, MacGuffin comes up with a unique idea that will land him the starring role.

Finally, MacGuffin gets his chance to show his acting ability, and he shines. But the killer is still on the prowl and seeking revenge against those from his past. MacGuffin unwittingly becomes involved with the LAPD and FBI as they hunt the killer and the bodies stack up.

From INDIE AUTHORS PRESS comes a new thriller by Minnesota authors Roy C. Booth & John F. Mollard.

J. Domino (jsalvatoredomino) | 8 comments Looking for something a little different? My latest novella The Hard Place is a fun crime fiction. I wrote it after a challenge from a friend. I think it came out pretty good. I can provide a free review copy, or it is free on KU.

Here is a short introduction:

When Danny Petrelski was growing up, he dreamed of being an Astronaut or perhaps a Fireman. After he graduated high school, he tried his hand at several jobs. He did construction work. A few years later, he had a promising job selling plumbing supplies. But for one reason or another those jobs did not work out.

Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think he would become a freelance hitman.

Then one day he found himself between a rock and a hard place. He could not move the rock, so he ended up in the hard place. But the money was good, and he answered to no one but himself.

Danny's life did not turn out as expected. But then life never does when you dwell in The Hard Place.
