INTRODUCTIONS

I'm 15 years old. I live in Illinois. I've been reading since I was 3 years old. My other interests include knitting, crocheting, drawing, and listening to music.

My name is arin. I'm 19 and i'm college student. I like reading every genre but mostly chicklit. It's my first time participating in book challenge. I'm very exicited!

I'm not a big fantasy fan but if you haven't read it I highly recommend Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

I live in Maryland, have a job, a family, and read as much as I can, including some audio books while commuting.
I am active in a few GR groups, but mainly the Books on the Nightstand podcast group. They had a great summer challenge based on Bingo and I guess it kindled (ha) my competitive spirit.

I have followed a couple of friends in here and plan to start with the winter challenge - which is quite odd because it is summer here in Oz and damn hot right now.
I have a couple of weeks to get my head around how your challenges work but the little peek I had earlier I think I am going to LOVE it :)

I work for a small home furnishings business in Scotland and spend all my working life being creative so it's nice to come home to a book and chill out a bit.
I was bought an ereader for my birthday and since then my book consumption has increased somewhat. I love it and wish i had made the move to one before.
I've joined this challenge to get me trying new genres but my, I think I'm bamboozled by how much people are managing to read. very impressed.

My name is Alex Starke, I'm 26, and I'm a high school math teacher in Georgia. I LOVE these types of reading challenges, even though I don't always stay on top of it the way that I should! I like trying :)
I currently have the two most wonderful children. Both boys, they're cute and furry and keep me warm at night. They're spoiled to death, and yes...have four paws :)
My life motto: I work hard so my cats can have a better life. :)
Haha, JK! Very excited to start the winter challenge!!

I noticed this group when it was featured on my GR groups page one day and decided to investigate. It looks like fun - I read widely in almost any genre, so it's right up my alley. (Dystopia and horror, though, would be tough...) I'm using the challenge to get myself through my massive TBR pile, and am really looking forward to discovering some great new books. But I also reread a lot, so I'm glad that's OK here.
As a currently unemployed widow whose kids are married I have lots of time to read and knit. Thanks to my Kindle I can do both at the same time, if I want. Of course, audio books are great for that, too. And I'm a fast reader, normally reading 20-40 books a month. So the challenge is technically doable for me.
I will be travelling out of state in January because I have a grandbaby due then. It will be great to see my son, DIL and 4 year old grandson and I know from experience I'll not get much reading done. So I need to read as fast as I can before I go. :)
Following the clue releases and planning my books is a lot of fun. We'll see how I do with following the plan, though. I tend to be a very impulsive reader. If I'm not in the right mood for a certain book - forget it. It won't be read. Hopefully within the next three months I'll have enough variety of moods to get to everything. LOL
Can't wait for November to end so we can start reading.

This season, I am using the planning thread to track other books I might use in my plan for each task. I am hoping it will make the substitutions easier later.

I'm a college student who is double majoring in sexuality studies and psychology. I'm a voracious reader and read books from every genre. I love having discussions about books with others and I enjoy reading challenges as I am a highly motivated person who enjoys the feeling of productivity.

I find the idea of the Seasonal Challenge very interesting. I hope this will help me to bring some structure in reading books from my fastgrowing to read list. And hopefully be surprised by books that I otherwise wouldn't have read :).

I'm using that planning thread, too. It makes it easy to glance down the long list of tasks and locate a specific book. I've left some of the easier-for-me tasks open so I can fill them in as I go.
And 15 books a month is still a lot - more than most people read. :)

I work at Chapters and have an English minor in my Secondary Education degree, so reading is my entire life. I'm always looking for new challenges and groups to join, because I need ways to direct my reading. I'm also looking to meet new friends!

My name's Jemma, 27 years of age. Originally from Sheffield, but have slowly gravitated my way down south and am now a Warwicker! I have a job where I have to read contracts all day long, I've got into a bit of a book rut so would like to give this challenge a go and see where it takes me!
Should be fun!
