I'm not sure which I love more, books or challenges. Books probably win by a very slight margin. This is my busy season and I'm going to need a bit of time to just figure out how everything works here, but come Autumn, I'm in.

I am married, my one year anniversary is in a week (!) and I have two ridiculous cats who are always great amusement and also good for cuddles.
I love Goodreads and am always looking for new books and genres to enjoy. Currently I am loving the Outlander and A Song of Fire and Ice series (even though they are SO long!), any memoirs about baking/cooking, silly mysteries like Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen Mysteries and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. I also love paranormal books and fantasy books. I will pretty much give anything a try but if it hasn't captured my attention by page 100 I will probably return it to the library without thinking twice!
I am really excited for the challenges posted in this group; it will help me go outside my reading comfort zone and it looks like a lot of fun!
For the challenges, since I am sure there are probably multiple Sarah/Sara(s) in this group I will go by my first and middle name: Sarah Eva.
Good luck everyone!!!

Ok! Thanks, Sandy!
Hi, I'm Mike, from Louisiana. I read about this group in another challenge group, read the challenges here and couldn't resist. The most interesting thing for me will be the new books and genres I would ordinarily miss or not try.

My name is Jennifer. I'm 32 and I work full time in a medical center and I am also a full time student double majoring in criminal justice and social work. I live with my boyfriend and we have his two daughters part time. Life is hectic but I still make time to read and blog. In my free time I also like to dance, explore, go to museums, and play guitar hero. This challenge sounds awesome and I can't wait to get started.

I am 45, married with two kids in college. I quit working back in 2007 to enjoy my kids last few years at home."
^^this was me last year. Since I wrote this I have returned to work part-time for my previous employer and lost all my free-time somehow. I am really looking to get back into reading now that everything is finally settling into a rhythm.

I'm JoLene from San Carlos, CA (Bay Area). I love to do challenges so I was very exciting to find this group. Looking forward to doing the next one (or possibly Winter since I'm getting ready to "retire" from my current company, but need to look for a new job).
My favorite genres are fantasy, historical fiction and mysteries ---- combos of any of these are my favs. In addition to reading, I love to do fiber crafts (mostly knitting and needlepoint) and cycling.

I'm Ally from London, UK. I'm 28 and work as a quality consultant. I love challenges and this one looks tough but fun so I'm excited to see how I can do! I don't think I'll get very far with the summer one as I have only just joined and wasn't prepared for it, but I'll give it a go and will be ready for Autumn :)

Did London survive the Olympics Ally?

I'm Diana from Texas. I left the group for awhile. I'm glad to be back. I noticed my name is still on the Readerboard (DIANA S) Hooray! :D
Happy Reading Everyone!

I review books on my own blog and I am just beginning to get a name for this having been offered a position on another site as a regular paid reviewer.
I would like to join in with the sep-nov challenge as my eldest will be at school all day, my middle son will be at nursery every morning and I will only have my 1 year old at home.
Looking forward to getting to know some more people and reading some more books.

My favorite book list would include The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, and The Story of Edgar Sawtelle: a novel by David Wroblewski.
I also enjoy skiing and sailing.

I'm Heather and I'm from Canada. I'm currently studying forensic science at university. School can be very stressful so I love to use reading as a way to relax. It helps me wind down at the end of the day, and is a great escape from the stresses of every day.
I don't have a favourite book, author or genre really. I will read just about anything as long as it keeps me interested. I find fiction to be the best for forgetting about everything else when you read though.
Out side of school and reading I like to spend time outdoors and I love sports.

Start planning your books!

Welcome, Connie N. I'm also a Connie from your neighboring state of CT with a 5-year-old grandson. You need to sign up with a Readerboard name too. Have fun picking out some books for the challenge!

The best way to do that is to make sure you meet all the requirements of the task before posting your book. If you are unsure of whether the book is acceptable for the task, you can ask in the particular task thread. That is what those threads are for.
Come on...please. The more the merrier they say!

When I arrived in this challenge, I had some questions I could not find the answers to in the help thread. So I asked one of the moderators by private message and she answered all of my questions very nicely.
I think you can ask them without hesitation if you have trouble understanding everything. They are nice and patient. :)

absolutely - we're happy to answer questions.

Hi Bea!! Nice to meet ya. I really really like some of the tasks for this challenge but the posting of my books really scares me LOLOLOL. I have a private group of my own where I keep track of all my challenges and the books I have read each month. I set up a thread in that group and have actually started doing this challenge on my own in my private group. Just scared to officially post here. LOL Maybe I will eventually ☺ Thank you for the nice warm welcome and cheering me on!!!

Hey, Robin...I have an idea. Pick a simple task, post it late at night, and go to bed. I bet when you get up, you will find no comments in the help thread at all because You Did It right!

I have already completed two or three of the simple tasks. Maybe I will get brave tonight and post them and see what happens....*sighs*

I hope I don't wind up on the "Wall o' Shame", whatever that is.

The Wall of Shame is what we have labelled the "the posting problems" thread. Staying off it will earn a chance at a reward.

Dee, there are several of us who are older, some of us than dirt, others just wiser. Welcome to the club of rabid readers.

OK Bea...LOL I am sweating bullets as I made my first 3 posts in the completed task thread LOLOLOLOL

You know that, if you make a mistake in the Completed Tasks post, you die...right? ;)

LOLOL tooo funny Sarah.

My name is Rianne (that sounds just like "Ryan") and, as you've likely figured out by now, I'm new to the group. My dear friend Kari has gotten me hooked on Goodreads.com and this is a group she is a member of; therefore, in my exploring for some fun, casual challenges I can do, I came to you fine people!
I am a graduate student but, no, I don't study literature. I am studying to become a music therapist. My ultimate goal is to help people with neurologic conditions like strokes, brain injuries, or conditions such as MS and Parkinson's disease. This takes up a huge part of my life, but when I'm not practicing or doing clinical work you will likely find me with a book in my hands.
I also have a pet hedgehog. Her name is Delilah, and she is a delightfully cute but spoiled little brat.
Other than that, I'm not sure what there is to share! Thanks for the creative challenges,
Rianne
