All rules here are subject to change as the Mods see fit. When the rules are changed, this topic will be updated and everyone will be notified.

GENERAL RULES

1. Have fun!

2. No excessive cursing.

3. Keep all content PG-13 and appropriate. Remember that there may be children reading what you write.

4. Be nice to everyone. Also be mature so that no disagreements get out of hand. Many people use Goodreads as an escape from drama, so please do not start any.

5. Please use proper grammar (not text speak) everywhere. In chat and in side conversations, some text speech is allowed, but please don't go overboard as it can get annoying to some people when used excessively.

6. Only Mods are allowed to create threads. If you wish for something to be made or have an idea for a thread, please visit the questions and suggestions thread which can be found here.

7. Do not advertise your group(s) by posting links to the group in various threads. There is a group advertisements thread for such things.

8. Respect the Mods! They know what they're doing. Disrespect will not be tolerated.

CHARACTER RULES

1. All information must be present in a profile for it to be approved.

2. The profile contents must not break any of the group rules.

3. Proper grammar must be used.

4. No truly evil characters will be allowed.

5. Main characters from anything aside from a book of your creation will not be accepted. For example, Natsu or Lucy from Fairy Tail would not be acceptable, but Levy or Wendy would. Sub-main characters are acceptable in most cases.

6. Students must be at least 13 years or older, teachers/school aides must be at least 20 years.

7. Characters may not have too many powers with no or few weaknesses. Mods reserve the right to deny the character until the problem is fixed, but not without informing of the problem.

8. If a character is posted and reviewed by a Mod but not approved, some changes must be made within 30 days or the profile will be deleted. If said changes may take a long time, the creator of the character must move the profile to the workshop thread where it will not be in danger of deletion.

See template and guidelines for more detail on the expectations and rules of character creation.

ROLEPLAYING RULES

1. USE PROPER GRAMMAR.

2. Wait for your character to be approved before beginning to roleplay.

3. Any side conversations that occur during RP must be done in double brackets: ((Example.))

4. Please no talk of suicide with characters. We would prefer it not come up at all, but especially not during RP.

5. No killing or severely injuring characters without permission from the Mods and the other Roleplayer(s).

6. Please add more substance to your posts than simply your character saying "Okay", or "[insert name] looked over at him/her". It makes your Roleplaying partner(s)'s reply difficult to write.

7. Regarding relationships, with the exception of house caretakers, School Aides are permitted to date both students and teachers, while teachers are not allowed to date students and of course vice versa. Town characters are allowed to date anyone who is around their age.

8. Remember, all content is kept to PG-13. This includes violence. Cursing is allowed in moderation, but please be tasteful. Romance past kissing must be skipped.

9. In case of a battle, attack, or some other instance where villains are in play, only the Mods may decide the damage an enemy sustains. This rule is in place to reduce godmodding by members.

10. Members may decide how much damage their own character sustains during any form of fight. However, if it is a official battle and the Mods see certain characters not taking any damage at all, they hold the power to say your character is injured.

11. Please don't have more than one roleplay in a thread unless it is an event. This keeps things from getting confusing. Also, if you wish to join a roleplay already in progress, please ask those who are already in that roleplay.
