I apologize if this too vague in advance, but around 2001 I read a science fiction novel that essentially a dystopia story. The idea was that after the world survived a nuclear war, nations decided to solve disputes by having children fight on a virtual arena. The way the children fight is by getting their hands very close to the virtual troops they are controlling in order to move them around, and if they touch the troops the troops die. I am also pretty sure there is mention of a sport they play that sounds like tennis but they call it power ball or something. I'm not sure if this is enough information, but any help would be appreciated.
