Daniel is so damn cute and Natasha a lot of her thoughts are same as I have! Is the first time I read someone who thought like I am. I like this book so much because is so relatable and almost situations are so realistic.

Sorry for the delay! Here are my thoughts!

(view spoiler)[So I'm not normally A YA contemporary person but you are right, this book was freaking adorable! I honestly thought that when Natasha went to Attorney Fitzgerald, I thought everything was going to work out. BUT when Daniel found out Natasha still had to leave, I was like WHAT?! I loved both of the characters, which is surprising because I usually dislike one of the characters.
Only characters I really disliked were Charlie and Samuel Kingley, they were both just so selfish.
I loved the little side stories included, it was fun to see how others were effected by Natasha and/or Daniel.
Lastly, I was sad that they lost contact after parting ways but loved how everything came full circle at the end and they found each other once again.

Who do you think you would relate to more, Natasha or Daniel?

Daniel's flashback of riding his bike and chasing after his "Hyung" broke my heart. I like how Natasha said to the Immigration agent his experience in Negril wasn't that of the country it was only of the resort. (hide spoiler)]

Page 67, 19%: (view spoiler)[I wasn't expecting this type of prose going in so the beginning jarred me a little. But I'm slowly getting used to it and I think I'm enjoying it lol. These are two characters with major life changes going on - from a Korean son trying to live up to his parents expectations to a girl who's about to be deported back to Jamaica with her family. Also, my heart broke for Irene - the security guard. Please tell me we go back to her and she doesn't kill herself! (hide spoiler)]

Daniel is really feeling the love at first sight thing while Natasha is very cynical. This should get interesting really fast. I really liked the characters individually and I liked what they brought out in each other, but it was really heavy on the love aspect despite the fact that they knew each other for like 6 hours. I was glad that the epilogue brought back Irene as I was wondering what happened to her and I like that the ending was kinda open with a little hope thrown in there. (hide spoiler)]

Finished! Review: I love how their were little breaks in the story to hear little random facts about history and culture and other things. And how we also got information from the minor characters POV. It all added perfectly to the story. I did find myself tearing up twice though: once when (view spoiler)[they were with the security guard who smoked. I teared up when we had his POV about his wife who died just after retirement, and the sentence 'saving up for our lives to go on a cruise to see the Northern Lights. Always waiting for the right time, not spending our money, and what for'. (hide spoiler)] I'm almost tearing up again now remembering it. It's so true. What for! Half the time there never even is a 'right time'. Just do it when you want, because it's worth that little bit of happiness. And the other time (view spoiler)[Daniel talking about how his heart would be ripped out of his chest at the airport :( (hide spoiler)]
When we initially learnt about the background of both MCs, I was shocked. Such diverse characters, such harsh parents and cultures. If Daniel's family is so Korean-based, then why not move back to Korean. Stop trying to keep their culture alive in a place that isn't accommodating for it. It's something that I feel strongly about. If you're in a foreign country, live their way, respect how things could change.
I have to say I can't believe that that's the end of the story. If not for the Epilogue I would be incredibly dissatisfied. I am very happy that (view spoiler)[they managed to find each other in the end. (hide spoiler)]
