Hi all! Sorry for the late reply. I'm minervathene on Habitica, the guild leader. Lovely to see you all here :)
Hullo!! I'm LenTheBard on Habaitica and you can all call me Len from now on!! I'm very happy to meet y'all!!
Hi! I'm Carrie (Carrie7G on Habitica.) So happy to have found some fellow bookaholics. Looking forward to being a part of this group!
Hello, im @AlphaBorz on habitica. Love the app. I'm currently reading Ready Player Two and The Biggest Bluff.
Hello, all! I just found the Book Lust guild, and I'm so glad there's a Goodreads group. I am AquaMarie1981 on Habitica, and I read mostly scifi/fantasy and graphic novels.

Hey, this is Maru. Just discovered the Book Lust guild on Habitica, and I can't wait to get back on track after some months of reading slump. :))
Hi there! Grateful to find some people who want to talk books! I’m an avid reader of epic fantasy and sci-fi. Favorite authors include Brandon Sanderson, C.S. Lewis, Robert Jordon, T.H. White, J.K. Rowling, Robin Hobb, Gail Carson Levine, Shannon Hale, Anne McCaffrey, Orson Scott Card… just to name a few.
Hello hello! A kind soul pointed out in the Habitica group chat that there's this GR groups so here I am looking for people who actively update their reading because I like checking what others read and how they like it
Hello everyone! I'm like Elena in that I'm looking for people who actively update their reading/want to read lists so I can find books I wouldn't have found otherwise. I read mostly romance (all subgenres), some fantasy and science fiction, and at least 12 nonfiction books per year (I don't always hit that number but it's the goal). I rarely leave reviews or comments but I always leave a star rating for each book I read, if that's helpful in anyway to you.
Hi everyone, Elena and Megan, I can't imagine not updating my lists :D
I always update what I'm currently reading, but I try to be careful how many books I add to my, already, long "want to read" list as it's then really hard to choose which book to treat myself to next :'D
I always leave a star rating too and have repeatedly set myself the goal of writing reviews for all the books I've read but I usually get worn out after a few days of one review a day and give up again. Perhaps I need to get started on that again
Feel free to browse my bookshelves (not sure if I put my settings to private) and message me if you want to chat about any particular book

I've started to do the same with adding books to my TBR now! (Recently did a lot of removals and it was a hard time, haha, but I managed to get it under 400 (finally!)
Emma and Sophia,The TBR struggle is so freaking real! I feel like I sort of have a decent organization system now. I have my Fiction Looks Interesting list (which is just what it sounds like), books that look interesting but I'm not sure I really want to read them. I have my TBR Nonfiction/Classics list because they're more "reading this to educate myself and not for entertainment" type reading. And my Want To Read which are books I'm actively excited about reading. The goal is to review each list once a year and move/remove books as my reading taste changes.
The problem is that I already had a not very efficient system and going through those books and reorganizing them into my new system seems like the worst sort of torture.

I move books up to the top of my "Want to read" list based on whether I actually have a copy of it to read.
I really like your ideas, especially as there are so many fantasy/sci-fi series I'm interested in trying (as in; reading the first one in the series) but I may decide not to continue with it after that first one obviously. It's happened a couple of times where I read the first book of a series which sounded really good but it just wasn't for me. Then perhaps a list of books from series which I'm already invested in. My main issue is trying to decide which series I want to get on and read the next one in and finish some of them before I get into more. Not mention other fiction genres and non-fiction! :D

Oh, that's brilliant! I never thought of using the numbering system in conjunction with owning the book but it makes a face palm amount of sense. Thank you for suggesting it :)
Series choice overload is so real. The time commitment and the uncertainty of an author potentially abandoning the series makes it even more daunting. Especially when people tell you that a highly recommended series takes until book 3 or 4 before the series gets good. But the payoff for a good series as opposed to a fantastic stand alone novel is just so worth it. Thus we press on!
Hello! I’m Dalmindor over on Habitica. Not very experienced with Goodreads, but decided to poke my head in here as well.
Hi, I am Blatantly_Random over on Habitica but joining up here as the Guilds are going to be closed :(
Hello! I'm earthtoterra on Habitica. I'm so sad about losing guilds. But I use goodreads religiously and would love to have more friends that update frequently! I have been working on my custom shelves a ton the last few days. My biggest goal is to get through the books that I own that I haven't read yet!
Hello everyone! I'm afraid I'm a pretty quiet group member but I am happy to be anyone's friend :) I love seeing what people are reading and finding new authors.
Hello and greetings. I'm also jumping over with guilds closing on Habitica. I am kanawinkie over there :)
Hello! I joined this group a little while back but it seemed pretty quiet so I didn't post a hello. Now because of all the bad stuff with Habitica guilds maybe this will become more active. My username is the same on Habitica :)
I'm sad I missed the book of the month last month. I had taken out over 20 books from the library and have been banging through them... but I'm sad to hear about the guilds. I liked the challenges from them...
Hi - I'm knitandpurl on Habitica, very sad that guilds there are being terminated but glad some folks are here, anyway
Hi, I'm spiritixsw on Habitica. I'm glad I found this group. It's disappointing that the guilds were terminated, but I like how this place exists. :)
Hello, I'm also Jari-chan on Habitica. Originally, I'm from the Read Your Books group, but since we're all together on Discord, I thought I'd like to join you all as well :)I am a Indie bookseller and live in the Swiss Alps with my Wife and two cats. Reading is my passion number one, but I also like cooking, writing postcards and watching movies & series.
Hello All! I use to be mininatsu on Habitica. I have been missing the reading guilds ever since I left. Is there really a discord group and is still possible to join?

Hi! Yes, there is a combined Book Clubs of Habitica server on Discord, with a Book Lust presence. More than happy to send you an invite - can you message me privately either here or on Habitica (minervathene) and I'll give you the access link? (I'm not too sure posting it publicly is okay/a good idea?)
