Mrs Benyishai | 14 comments If you get upset when film changes books (so do I beyond the trailers I have not seen the ohers) stay with the ones I suggested. of course they do change the novel a bit but to me the minimum changes dont spoil the fun. old BBC films are usually well done like THe secret garden and the old Canadian Anne of Green Gables etc

Mrs Benyishai | 14 comments Things they have overlooked a bit are the non options for single women like Charlotte Lucas or Miss Bates and Jane Fairfax in Emma evaen Emma herself However a film cant cover all so I forgive them, If you are searching for Jane Austen she is deep in the books. when you have finished the oevere you must read again then some of the critics. the films are for when I Iron to keep from being bored

Beatrix thanks for your advice on the different films, it's helped me a lot and I think I'll try out the 1995 p&p first, sorry I didn't see your comments until now, goodreads hasn't been giving me notifications

Jan Z (jrgreads) | 116 comments My daughter had an interesting thought. The Muppets do P&P. Kermit and Miss Piggy as Mr and Mrs Bennet, Fozzie as Sir William Lucas ( kind, if a bit ridiculous), humans for Elizabeth and Darcy, Janis for Mary.
Could be fun. And of course, you expect it to be silly.

I love that idea! It could be so much silly fun.

Hello! I am writing to let you know about a youtube channel that reads Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen to students and offers commentary for them to better understand.

Often, students are asked to read this novel, but many of them are not ready nor are they great readers meaning they usually have trouble understanding what is going on.

This youtube channel really helps. It has really helped my high school students with their quizzes and tests.

Thank you!
