Jenna's conquering Mount Doom with no Lembas Bread series challenge

So I wasn't ashamed because I only have 3 unfinished series and I'm close to updating 2 of them, but then I wrote out all of the ebooks I own. Some of them I forgot I bought in the first place...
I am joining the group of the ashamed again. I think I might make my 5 for 1 challenge something to do with reading books I already own.

That would be a great challenge for me.
*hides in perpetual shame*
Just my non-ya collection is at like 715 unread of 1100. I would definitely benefit from a challenge that focuses on books I already own lol. Maybe that'll be my new focus once I get my incomplete series challenge parred down.
It's a weird state of mind that lets me ignore the books I wanted enough to spend money on in favor of books I get for free from the library. It's like I know they'll always be there, so I don't prioritize them.

That would be a really good challenge.
I think I have something in mind that might work great for that. Perhaps I'll set it up next week sometime. Great idea, Bill. :)

Yay! Niki to the rescue!
I'm glad some ideas came out of my great shame and I will admit, it's good to hear that by comparison, it's really not shameful at all. Though I only included the first in the series on the list I made, 1100 is definitely a different level.
Haha glad to be a shining example of what not to do. Some good indeed / I'm really excited for this new challenge. :)

Definitely not as good as the main series, but I like that he decided to do something a bit different. There was a lot more politics and philosophy with this series - so much so that it was a bit too much at points (especially in FoL). I think if I hadn't read Book of the Fallen, I wouldn't have enjoyed it, but after the main series, it was so cool to look into the past and see the back story of all the legendary BotF characters.

I agree with Jenna Bill. It is a good idea to wait for the last book. I'm kind of hoping that the last book will make having read book 4 worthwhile. I really loved the first 3 books too. It was a little bit gutting that while I still rated The Blood Mirror a three, it was so far behind the calibre of the other books.

I agree. I like FoD much more than FoL. FoL he went overboard with the politics and forgot the story. Also it's a hard sell the way he portrayed Draconus and Rake in BotF vs Kharkanas especially in FoL.

Not really sure what you did with that comment, but you fucked something up.
Yeah, they felt different, but that also would have to do with the progression of time. I was okay with that for the most part, but FoL was almost a 4 star for the politics.

Wow - I had a chance to read on the weekend and finally updated Malazan!
Dancer's Lament - Definitely the best ICE book to date and I'm so excited that I'll be on schedule to read Deadhouse Landing with the group.
